Wagon cadwallon

any chance of a turntable?

Ok, after following since your first post, I finally decided to look up the original concept art. I have to say that so far you are spot on. It really looks amazing. I also want to say I stumbled upon your other works on cghub, and you really have a great eye for form. I hope you post your future works on ZBC as well. Looking forward to seeing this all textured and rendered!

Dakmoden Thank you!
earthtriber Sure I could do that. I will just finish the sculpt, not much left, then I can do a turntable
OctoBoom Thank you vey much! Im glad you like my other work too, and I will sure keep posting here.

hehe…makes me feel a little better about my WIPs…thought i was just a slow as hell after seing how fast you work! still impressive how much stuff you do with the same high standard! cant wait to see it textured !
motivates me to get going with mines too! although now i want to take on a Paul Bonner piece…there are so many wonderfull pics from him!

keep them coming!

Well Abe, If it makes you feel even better, this update down here is all Ive got done this week
A few stones along the road and the stonewall on the right.
Im exited too see what project you start next. I really enjoyed your Face of evil.

Hopefully I will have some time over this weekend so I can finish this, at least the sculpt. Been working a little bit on the trees too, tricky, trying to figure out a good way to build them.
After some testing the obvious choice is using zSpheres in zbrush. :+1: Going for it tomorrow.

Cya later!

Small update, stones added.

wow, amazing work mate.

Hey G!
Lookign awesome man, i tried posting here while i was in Bahamas for New Years, but service for my Iphone was terrible and so was the Hotel WiFi service. Anyways im back home now and your work progressed alot, just dropping a line to check on your work and comment on how good it is getting. The only thing i can critique, looking at the original, is that the sword resting on the rock seems to be closer to the “camera”. Rest is Superb!

best wishes!

Love the oxen. Your computer must hate you.

This is real good work. It is great to see such dedication to a single illustration.

I am looking forward to see the end result.

Keep us posted!

C’mon…march forward…
keep it coming…
Its absolutely rocking…

Great work, this excellent, I liked all the characters, congratulations!!! A big hug!!!

face of evil has been merged with another wip to become a big scene(the DWIV thread),so still working on it but a long way left…

coming back on your update…looks FANTASTIC
are you using the original concept to place your elements, or just your nose?

looks great !

Thanks everyone! this is so much fun, and motivating! I will work hard this weekend, and hopefully deliver the final sculpt

Sathanael Hope you had a great weekend in Bahamas  Hmm you are right about the sword, wounder if I should move it. Then again when comparing very exact to the original there are very much that dont match exactly.
However moving the sword closer to the camera could help adding depth… hum. Will see what I do. Thanks for the feedback!

dustinbrown hehe yeah the computer will probably go on strike just before I press the final render button. ^^

abe_Tamazir For the characters I placed everything with the image just in mind, looking at it often ofcource, but not tracing.
With the environment howerver Ive been working with an imageplane.
If you where too place the original over this one you would see this clearly.

Heres a little WIP I thought I´d share. The trees. Almost ready to be sculpted.

Holy crap.
