Big thanks, good to see someone likes her body. Yeah, I hate this situations when you look at model for such a long time that you cannot judge about shapes correctly anymore. This is very dangerous moments when I can simply give up or start introducing drastic changes that potentially might break the character. I just hope I am not alone with quirks like that.

Yep, I am a big fan of prominent ribs. But not up to the point when model looks anorexic of course. I especially like poses when girl makes deep breath exposing ribs and costal cartilages or when torso is bend with advanced arms so back part of ribs project through the lats - very beautiful and touching. But they are really hard to sculpt and very easy to overdo (as well as Serratus Anterior - mine are always a bit bulky). Partially because specific materials and lighting in Zbrush, as well the lack of true SSS - all this gives slightly wrong representation of final forms.

Ah, genitals. You know, they will be changed at final stages. Basically, she was planned as a character with non-standard beauty, causing big inferiority complex. For example, she is redheaded and freckled while in year 2369 the fashion and TV idols were promoting сcompletely opposite archetype of beauty. She has sticking ears and big amount of vellus hair all around the body. As I mentioned she suffers from rhotacism - inability to correctly pronounce the R sound. Plus constant sitting in front of computer/phone screen have spoiled her eyesight. Which is not a big problem in XXIV century, but as doctors figured out she has an allergy on specific medicines and she was forced to wear temporary glasses (which become permanent since her mother is not the most mindful person and usually don’t care about her daughter’s problems). So coming back to genitals. She hated herself straight from the childhood, having no friends except robots. She became more confident after puberty when she started turning into the young woman with beautiful body features. But even here one little thing completely ruined her self-esteem - she got very pronounced and big inner labias and clitoris. So yeah, I will make big changes to the inner structure of her genitals. I am not planning to show it on pictures but it is very important for story. When she met Nastya, she will start convincing Flora that all this standards of beauty, mindless plastic surgeries and classmate’s mocking are complete nonsense and will teach her to love herself the way she was born. I wouldn’t touch this topic if I didn’t encounter such situations in real life - so many beautiful girls don’t realize they are beautiful, hating particular body part just because it doesn’t look like on fashion model.

I really like that you’ve put some thought on the backstory of your characters. It brings them to life for sure.

By the way, what is going to be the end result with these characters? A posed render or something else? (If it’s an animation or even a game, that would most likely need a working team behind you though, hehe)

I’ve actually taken a break from my Zarah, and switched to my bigger main project including both male and female characters, so that’s why there’s no updates for her recently. Maybe later this year.

The backstory you see here is just a small part of what is already written (up to 100 pages I think). It is on Russian and previously I tried to translate it on English but since it takes a lot of energy and time and because pretty much no one (except three or four people) showed no interest I stopped it.
The idea was to make a visual story via numerous renders showing most important moments of my character’s journey, complemented with plot and probably some text bubbles. Initially planned as renders in erotic style, after the strong plot development I also got more serious topics to show. The story is heavily inspired by great authors like Asimov, Efremov, Clarke, Orwell, Huxley and some other great science- and social-fiction writers.
I’m also working on separate project with Nastya in fantasy style where I make a fun from numerous cliches and stereotypes. It is called “Nastya - The Worst…” where she tries herself in different professions (or maybe classes?) but fails completely, usually in most stupid way involving some nudity. Like in my current project where she is the worst dragon slayer and huge dragon burns her pants and bum. There are many ideas like the worst thief, paladin, sorcerer, archer, witch etc.

PS I’'m also taking some rest from sculpting. Partially because I just lost interest and work mostly by inertia. Also I really want to find at least minor 3D related job because it is a shame to sculpt for six years but never have a chance to work in industry. From the other side - I should continue on my projects to put at least something to my portfolio.

PPS Yeah, panties FTW. More is coming soon. For now they are not finished yet cause with such a bum you will definitely see some fat tension but for obvious reasons cannot do it right now.

xada Thnak you very much, I really appreciate it. I always have a feeling that characters I do are kinda lifeless and lack some natural harmony… so it is good to know I’m slowly improving.
Jake Rupert Yep, my sculpt is based on a different girl. But as I said the likeness is really vague so you all might be disappointed.

So yeah, I thought to sculpt a hair to make the model look a bit better and close to original but haven’t enough time for this. Maybe later.
A couple days ago I was forced to watch the entire Twilight saga :lol:. While I find this films terribly bad in many nuances, the beautiful face of Alice was pretty much the only nice thing in entire franchise.
Ashley Greene is mostly familiar as model, not actress. And usually she is recognizable by her distinct and appealing smile. Maybe sculpting her with smile would help me to achieve better likeness. Plus she changed a lot during last years (more goant now), so it is better to compare with more earlier shots (like here). Already see that wings of the nose can be changed. And usually her eyes are a bit more closed. And yes, the mouth in rest position is slightly wider on most photos, but I was targeting at middle black and white photo where her lips are slightly tightened to the center.

Quick sketch. Proportions should be tweaked to match the drawing.

xada Thank you very much. The makeup is nothing more than several brush strokes. One very soft for eye-shades and one crisp for eyeliner. I watched some beauty blogs on YouTube to get a better understanding about the process :smiley:

This sculpt is based on drawing made by great artist Dandon Fuga. His works and girls are awesome. I will change proportions a bit. In original drawing she is pictured on a bit tricky angle so it is hard to judge about the shape of the head. But it definitely should be a tad narrower. I’m also working on her body - it is really gorgeous. I hope you will like it too :). I will make a proper credit when it is done.

Aw, man. That’s such a wonderful stylized girl there, so smooth work. I guess you’re always working through each sub-d level carefully (no doubt about it :D). Also, I like the fact that your previous chick has more angular facial structure than your usual “softer” sculpts. It definitely stands out from yout recent works. It’s probably my favourite head of yours at the moment.

And yeah, can’t wait to see the body your newest sylized girl. :wink:

Yeah, I always prefer to work with sub-d models. I often start with Dynamesh but when I’m happy with overall shape I just retopologize or Zremesh it quickly. Much more control when adjusting proportions, smoothing or even refining secondary shapes. And overall I just hate unorganized topology.
Sometimes it is so confusing to see that works I spend weeks polishing remaining completely ignored by audience, while quick 1-2 days sketches gaining more love and attention. But thank you! I like when in female face soft features are mixed with more angular ones. I even like boyish girls with short hair. But when it comes to sculpting I’m often so afraid to make them too masculine so end up with softer look. At the same time Flora was planned as 17 in the beginning of the story and I think that rounder look for this age is natural.

A bit of work on Flora. I wanna revive an old project where she is playing in strip-checkers. Changed some proportions of lower face. Still not happy. I see problem areas but afraid to change them too drastic and break the initial look.
Designed glasses. In XXIV century people mostly don’t use them due to advanced medicine but Flora has a rare allergy to some medications and was forced to wear temporary ones. They become permanent as her mother is a bad parent and didn’t find a time to finish daughter’s surgery.
However people wear glasses as a fashion attribute and gadget (there are many cool stuff build in). Later I might break them and replace with old-fashioned glasses (I’m really into nerdy girls).
PS Flora damaged her eyesight mainly with computer games. She prefers FPS shooters and active games like on Wii (which explains why despite being nerdy she still has a decent body).
