A little more progress on this one:
great start for the anatomy.keep it up my friend.
Thanks Diablo :). The character is not completely realistic. Especially the proportions. Will finish up the feet pose him and then add the small details and asymmetry.
I posed the guy and now I have to adjust the muscle deformations. He is going to be part of a small scene. Will be adding more elements to it. C&C welcome.
Edit: Forgot to mention - he will be with clothes.
Hi Vlad,
Been doing some work I see. Its a bugger getting everything right in 3D, that’s why I prefer paint and canvas in the real world where artwork has real meaning.
I would recheck your body proportions on your model, plus maybe rethink the models pose for more drama and interest. Sorry, sounds a little harsh for all the great work you have put into it so far.
It will be interesting to see the finished product.
Thanks for the comment and critique - they not harsh at all. Its great that there are people like you in here.
As for the model I will check the proportions. Maybe the upper torso is a bit too long. He is not supposed to be 100% realistic.
You are right about the pose. It is a bit bland. I just wanted to create more quieter and calmer and not so dramatic atmosphere. Maybe I went too far with this one:)
Thanks again Ed.
Edit : Actually it is the other way. Upper torso and arms are too short and the whole body is too narrow.
Following Ed’s suggestion. Now he has realistic proportions I think.
He does have realistic proportions, it looks good. I know someone with exceptionally big calves. There is no “right” way to proportion a human being, they come in all shapes and sizes.
Fantastic work here.
Thanks Eric. Happy you like my work. You are right human proportions can vary a lot.
Here is an update. I changed the pose and. I made it a bit more dramatic. Did some work on the upper torso. Arms, abdomen and legs/feet are next.
Upper body is almost done. Abdomen and legs are to follow.
great, I like the pose…!
Looking really good.
Thanks guys
He’s great! I love how the forms fit together. But honestly, I’d add a *****, or at least a fig leaf - the plastic action-figure bump kinda works against the sculpt now.
EDIT: Hah, automatic censorship. Well, I think you can infer what word I meant.
Thanks for the comment Nagulov. I am happy you like it. I will definitely add this part
He’s really shaping up! Lovely forms. I keep meaning to say, his stomach is perhaps too tensed and sucked in, doesn’t look as natural as the rest of the musculature. Still, looking great!
EDIT: so I just went back and looked at the beginning stages of this sculpt – man, the jump in quality is tremendous!
