(User thread - Unofficial) For ZBrush 3.5 os X Beta testing, apply here !

I wana be a part of it, ZBrush, ZBrush…

Moderator’s Note: This is not an official thread. When Pixologic is ready to accept new beta testers for ZBrush 3.5, we will make an announcement and include information for how to apply.

I will state that forum participation plays a very important role in acceptance. Those people who share work that demonstrates strong ZBrush skills receive the highest priority. As do those people who’s ZBC posts in general are constructive, positive, and helpful.

If you have already been accepted into the beta testing program, but are not part of the current phase of beta testing, there is no need to apply again. However, if your system information has changed since being accepted you should contact Pixologic directly with the new information.

Thanks.

If only they would allow us to. Would solve a mass of issues and moaning from many.

Better than just waiting…

I’m up for it!

Better than nothing I guess. Count me in.

This would definitely lead to better communication between the userbase and Pixologic, and in the end a better product. Not to mention what a fantastic opportunity it would be to gain back the respect the company has lost in the Mac-community.

Just take a look at what Adobe have been doing for years with open betas and how loyal their userbase is.

I really hope this thread doesn’t get locked.

that would be just frickin dandy

Im in!

sure why not… bring it!!

ugghhhh—i really thought this was an official thread. you can probably count on a lock for this one.

they’re not going to just sign up anybody and everybody for beta testing. of course everyone would volunteer to be beta testers if it worked this way.

i’m not positive, but I believe Pixo has a pretty exclusive set of qualifications they use to determine their beta testers.

Like to have a go at that

I’d be willing to look at it.

I would love to beta test this time.

This is not an official thread, but why not letting registered Mac users to participate to beta testing, as some already suggested in the Mac & Zbrush 3 Thread ?

I’m in too!

Hugs,

who wouldn’t be in?! just getting my hat in the ring before the lockdown!

Silly question but, how are we supposed to demonstrate our ZBrush skills on this forum to be able to qualify for beta testing if most people are awaiting a properly working version in the first place? Sounds a little unfair to me. I was actually serious when I initially replied to this thread.

It’s not a silly question at all, and I understand where you’re coming from. MOST Mac users are able to run either ZBrush 2 on the Mac side or ZBrush 3.1 under Boot Camp/Parallels. Z2 is nothing to sneeze at. Look at Return of the King or the last two Pirates of the Caribbean movies. The requirement is to demonstrate ZBrush skill; not necessarily ZBrush 3.1 skill.

Keep in mind that the purpose of beta testing is not to give people early access to the new version. (Frankly, that would be a slap in the face to anyone who then isn’t a beta tester.) Beta is meant to thoroughly test the new version’s features – both old and new. The people best able to do that are the ones with the best understanding of the software.
