twisting a bike chain, bullet-belt etc.

hi,

If I’ve created a chain of some sort using the curve brushes - so something that in the real world is articulated but not inherently malleable - is there any way of keeping this kind of quality and being able to twist the curve, without distorting it’s parts? So in the case of a bullet-belt say; putting a twist into the belt but without distorting the bullets (or at least as little as possible)

I could probably rig up some kind of IK chain in maya, but it seems a lot of work for what I want. I’m sure it’s the kind of thing that’s dealt with beautifully in ZBrush by some hidden gem (or something really obvious that I’ve missed…)

most of the tutorials I’ve watched on curve brushes tend to talk about the creation of them, tri-part, taper and so on.

any ideas?

thanks Doug. I can’t find anything about rotating - for now it seems pulling it into a twist is the way to do it. at least for me
