That’s brilliant, looking forward to seeing the armour, if you’re making the armour that is
I think this is mostly the goal here, although I liked the common origin theory
That gives “püssyface” a whole new meaning.
You could make a nice final comp out of these two
Uber: Good! That was my plan. Some people could argue that predator women should be uglier than the men. But, what can I say… I likes my womerns sexy.
digitalmind: And that, my friend, is why god invented paper bags.
Skadalilama: Will do … it may be a little while though, as I am getting a little tired of doing predators. Which is a sure sign that it’s time to move on to something else, for a bit.
SuperHer0: If they didn’t have females, they would probably just reproduce by upchucking a baby pred, after they’d eaten enough. Like the shriekers in ‘Tremors 2’. [Gross]
lawndart:
Mogs: I will probably, eventually, make armor for her. How long before I do? I can’t say for sure.
koyima: On one hand, the common origin theory could be cool. On the other hand, I think if you try to link all these different races together, you’re kind of doing yourself a disservice. What made the AVP franchise so great in my eyes (once upon a time), was that you could have all these different species off doing their own thing, and then every once in a while they all stumble upon each other, and clash. If you try and make it like they never existed separately, you start to lose the ability to have individualized story-lines.

That gives “püssyface” a whole new meaning.
Yes it certainly does.
I probably will do a final comp with both of them in it. Nothing too scandalous though.
My initial intention was to do a ‘Team’ type of composition with 5 different “elite” predators.
I was getting a tad bored with predators so I thought I’d try something a little different…

SolidSnakexxx: Thanks! Glad you like it.
Here is the second vid for my mech sculpting series…
This one shows how I went about sculpting the wheel. This time I actually got all of the menus and everything to render.

tire sculpting is great nice to see vids of your workflow, they are very very useful.
BAD ASS DUDE!
Too bad all I ever see is a white box where a movie must be.
Thanks guys! Glad you’re liking them. They aren’t groundbreaking tuts or anything, but I’ve always found that a good way of clearing up artists block is just watching someone else work out their thoughts.
caffeineandpixels: sorry to hear that dude. It may be that your flash player is out of date. If you’re sure you have the current version, then you could try doing a search for my vids on youtube.com. The last vid was called ‘Hard Surface_03’, my username is flortristanw. If you go to my user page you should be able to see all the videos I’ve posted.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for the brush and the vids dude!
Hey All,
It’s been a while. There was some stuff that I thought would be easier to do if I had Shadowbox and the clipping brushes. So I decided to wait until I could get the upgrade to Z4. I’m glad I waited…
The new features take a while to get used to, but once you do, you wonder how you ever lived without them.
My latest update is a modified version of the M41A pulse rifle. I swapped the fixed shotgun in favor of an accessory rail, and an adjustable fore-grip. This way you can equip the gun with a variety of gadgets, or under-mounted weapons, instead of being stuck with a shotgun.

Awesome stuff. Shadowbox and the clipping brushes are a huge lifesaver.
Your female pred is great. I was attracted to it then disturbed at myself.
all men are attracted to a nude slim female body. even gay men. It’s a natural first reaction.
ks for the brush
Your work looks great!!!
Thanks for the responses everybody. 'Preciate it!
Next up I’ll be tackling the Drop ship from aliens. My goal is to do it all in Zbrush.
So far I just roughed out the forms from a bunch of cubes. It was a lot more complicated than I had guessed it would be, because there are a lot of different flat and curved surfaces that have to intersect in precise ways. This involved rotating the model to weird angles before using the clip brushes; and then in some cases masking of specific sections using the gradient alpha, then using the move tool to bulge/ curve the surface.
Hope you guys like what little there is so far.
