Hey, thanks very much.

Really nice sculpt and pose. Convincing character. Great work
Superbly executed and I guess will be stunning when textured and rendered. I really like how the harder planes of the cranium draws your eyes.
Good luck with the completion.
Thank you very much guys. I really appreciate the feedback.
I’m hoping I’ll have the time to complete it in the next couple of days.
Thanks again.

Here’s a render of a sculpt I modeled in Zbrush with some retopo work in Maya. painting and render in Zbrush. comp in Photoshop. I’m fairly happy with the final piece but some things could be better. Still, learned a lot. Crits and comments always welcome.
Great looking Work!!
Excellent work!
Thanks so much, guys. I’ve been working hard on getting better control over the render features. Not all there yet in terms of getting what I want, but I can definitely see the improvement from piece to piece.
nice work!!, I like it!
Here’s a WIP of a personal piece I’m doing. I thought it would be interesting to try to show a parasite-like creature which grows by absorbing the innards of it’s victim. I’m not sure this piece really works. It’s kind of silly and unrealistic looking and I might change it slightly before I finally paint and do a finished render. Meanwhile, doing some Fast BPR renders at this stage helps me see the piece differently than when I’m working on it and I thought I’d share where it’s at right now.

amazing!
Wow man, that sculpt is coming out quite nice. Its super gross and the concept comes across quite well. As a thought, the claw like “arms” of the parasite at first glance look like they were formed out of the ribs of the victim. Looking closer though that doesn’t seem to be the case - but is an idea to maybe experiment with that might better fit your concept. The parasite could use and adapt what already exists rather than having to fully grow it. If you did use that concept, you could keep the look of the claws you have by making that an adaptation on top of the already existing bone, which could help it project out further as well to pull things in to that nasty pit.
Hey all. OK, here’s a reworked version of my post from a day or 2 ago. I wasn’t happy with some aspects of it and so made some changes. reworked the corrupted lower body of his victim and then finished the diseased withering and rending of the victim’s flesh.
It still needs painting and then final render and comp which hopefully I’ll have done sometime this week, schedule permitting.

I feel like the THING deeply inspired this model
eepers creepers! thats awesome and highly disturbing great work… and thanks for ruining my sleep
Superb! Great idea, concept and modeling! Some WIP for us? Cheers!
Hey thanks, guys.
Sergio, I’ll try to make some screen shots of some WIP when I get a bit of time.

Hi all. OK, finished this guy. Polypainted and rendered in Zbrush with some customized materials. Comp in PS CS3I’m happy-ish with the renders and could easily have done a good deal more with this guy. I also had an idea for an alternate color scheme for the creature where it was shiny black with some reds. Honestly i just couldn’t justify spending any more time on this. Too many other things needing my attention. Crits always welcome.

This is grotesque ! This is very cool!
