Trial license? What trial license?

Hello. I performed a couple of searches but this topic didn’t turn up.

I downloaded the trial version of Zbrush 3.1 today. The first time I used it the ‘enter serial number’ box popped up. I obviously haven’t purchased anything to recieve a serial number, but I noticed the ‘activate later’ option gave 30 day’s grace, so I figured that was the proper option for the trial and clicked it.
My first session lasted a couple of seconds, when I decided I’d better read a few instructions first. Now, a couple of hours later, when I try to start Zbrush I’m informed my license file is faulty, and it won’t start unless I contact Pixologic and give them my serial number…

This indicates that something has somehow corrupted the installation. In most cases this is caused by a virus. It can also be caused by changing the system clock.

After you’ve made sure the clock is correct and no viruses are present, please browse to the ZBrush folder and delete the file config called ZBrush3.ini. Next, go to the Windows Control Panel. Under the Remove Programs category, locate ZBrush and select it. You should see an option appear above the list to repair or modify. (This varies depending on your version of Windows.) This will run the ZBrush installer again, and you’ll have the choice to repair the installation.

When done, start ZBrush. It will tell you that a problem has been detected with the license and ask if you’d like to recover. It will then give you a request code. Reply to this post with that code so that we can create a recovery code for you and get ZBrush back up and running.

Aurick can you please reply to this thread with a recovery code for me. I downloaded the 30 day trial and i am very anxious to try it but i have been having trouble for some time now trying to get a Recovery Code.
