The Sin Eater (WIP)

First viewing of the day…yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm…love the update…

Some of the little things I am seeing are (and they are nit picking)

:red_circle: Her forward/upper fangs need to be a bit shinier and highlighted maybe a tinge more.

:red_circle: The nails need a bit more texturing…kinda flat looking to me…maybe some slight grooves or pits in them. Where the nail meets the top of the meat of the finger, maybe a bit more detail, shading and highlight

:red_circle: The sore in her arm…maybe the wound itself should be a bit red or pink, outlining the sides of the wound.

:red_circle: The hair is looking wonderful, just a bit painterly…little more depth in the strands…

:red_circle: The knuckles seem a little smooth on her hands.

:red_circle: She has eyebrows, (and maybe it’s just my eyes and monitor) but some eyelashes or more predominant eyelashes might add to her beauty and horror

That is me just really really digging at the pic…I hope I didn’t sound like I am dogging the image…because I love this work to say the least. Super top notch.:+1: X infinity

(lol…she is back as my wallpaper again  )

Looking forward to the highrez.

ps. I can or could definitely see her as a lead creature in a horror flick.

Panstar what ever happened to Explorers , butterflys and hot air balloons - you’ve gone over to the dark side.

Thanks Ron for the crits.

the fangs, do need to be a bit more wet, I have been considering speckling them with a copy of the material at a higher specular, like i’ve done on the skin, also bringing in some saliva around the mouth.

The Nails, OMG, your right, I modeled th nails half way jsut to see what they looked like and forgot to go back and finish. Thanks for pointing that out.

The cut in the arm, I agree needs to be redened more, I have textured it with red around but he light set bleeds a it out, so I need to make it darker, to show.

The Hair, I’m still working on, building it up.

and I agree with the knuckles, looking smooth and will go in and see what I can do.

Mark: good to hear from you again, Yes I have flipped to the dark side for this series. Guess it’s my old Post Punk/Goth roots coming out:D

Be back soon with a new update.
Thanks again for all the support

I thought there just had to be “Goth” in there somewhere.

BTW, you should see this checkout girl in ASDA, she looks very much like your creation. Really, I’d take a photo of her to prove it but she’d slap me if she knew what I was going to compare her to

She has a vertical mouth too?

Nah, at least I don’t think so anyway.

It’s mainly accross the eyes, and the general look she gives off if you know what I mean. I’ll try to get her checkout again when I go shopping this week - see how she feels about me whipping my camera out

i like the jewelry and eye color, but i think she’s way much better without hair.

Finally I think I’m finished on Luxuria!! But I won’t shoot the dog till the cat rolls over. There will always little bits, I’ll probrably want to go back to.

I worked mor on the skirt to get it to drape more, redend the saw up more, but when I came to change the lighting, I had to tone it down again. Added flecks of blood, didn’t want to much, May go back and redo the hand splatters, we’ll see. And added the tongue, Hmm,which I can’t make my mind up on. worked on the nails.

Photoshop postwork: Hair obviously, burnt the background in a bit and gave a slight colour adjustment.

If anyone wants a high res version, jsut say and I’ll email it on.

Mantodea: thanks for your comments, My wife agrees with you that she preferes her without hair, but I always saw her with hair so I stuck with it.

Thanks everyone for your comments and crits, through this, they have been very constructive, some I’ve taken on board others I havn’t but never the less they where all welcomed. Thanks

Ok here she is.

Yeah it took a good turn!

I love the style of the girl, with tatoos, and the blue haircut.
Good work!!:+1:

So sexy

EWWWW! I thrice the no hair as well. She doesn’t have much of a palm does she? That tongue is really disgusting! Was this all done in zbrush, or rendered outside of it?

Thanks Sebcesoir / Deamon3D /Womball

Womball: All was rendered and created in ZB, except fro those areas i mentioned above that which is photoshop. I’m considering digging out me old copy of lightwave, but then i’m wondering if downlaoding Blender would be worth a try, as i would like to play with sss.

panstar,

I remember this one from it’s early stages. Finished off nicely.

Oh, and I forgot to add…

“YOU are Twisted!”

Blender doesn’t have true SSS yet. It uses vertice based lighting which you can get if you download an use a script called MH SSSS, from the makehuman project. I have used it before, and in my Warky And Sherman’s Grand Adventure, both characters are using this faked SSS combined with a Ramp shader glow. The lighting is my scene doesn’t show it off that well, but that’s wasn’t the purpose of the lighting either.

However since blender now has a node base material system, you may be able to fake it with even more accuracy. You will have to check over at blenderartists.org for nodes layouts. You might also want to check out a beta build of blender as well. I’m not sure how well versed you are in blender though. Its rather intimidating at first since its layout is rather different. There is an intro to the layout I think on cgtalk’s blender forum.

great job!!1
If I was still working my old job she would be
my bottom woman:+1:

Ok tweaked the lighting slightly just to bring out the shadow areas a bit to the left of the image. and set her in her nice little frame. I’ve also posted the concept sketch, I don’t normaly as my trad, drawing skills are a bit rusty. But I feel this served it’s purpose to show.

Thanks Mr Monster, pleased you liked the outcome. I’m twisted but kind.;)

Womball, thanks for that info on Blender, I think I may have to have a peek at it. can’t be more complicated than Lightwave, to learn your way around can it?

Thanks Bic39, what was your old Job, then;)

Trying to find somewhere to post the Hi-res, I will sort it out.

Nope probably not, if your familar with lightwave. And I hope this gets plugged to!

She is wicked awesome…when you get the finished his rez posted somewhere lemme know…she is worth printing and hanging on the wall for sure…they charge 8 dollars a square foot on posters at my local printer here…definitely want a print of this one…

super top row 5 star work…

Thanks Ron, just sent you a copy, hope it gets to you. I need to sort some web and server space out again and get my portfolio up.

Nice to hear people say it’s Top Row, But don’t you need to own XSI for r rendering to get up there. Ooops ! thats sounds like a little dig:lol:

Well who will it be next, I have concepts for Vanity, and also Avrice. Vanity, I more or less have the head sorted.

But with Avrice, I have two ideas one is to go very Demonish, but I feel its a bit cliche. The other idea is a bit political, which is to model a two faced head, one side as George Bush, the other as Tony Blair, the eye’s removed with Oil seeping from the sockets and mouth. But as per usual, I don’t want to upset people. Even though I can see a great image in it. Hmmm pondering!!

Good morning. Just got up a little bit ago and saw your mail…Thank you very much. The 4.3 came thru and is now downloaded.

LOL, yeah Avrice will be interesting and controversial to say the least, especially if you put that dark creative detail and thought that you have done with Luxuria.

I may have to do the print from an online service, because I was out checking the other day on local prices and the cheapest so far was 8 dollars a square foot. So the size I was wanting would run me around 60-70 dollars, which wasn’t in line with my budget…so the hunt continues…

thnx again and looking forward to more.

Ron
