I’ve been patiently waiting to look at this thread as I’ve been playing my way through The Last of Us, which I just finished last night and just looking through your work on it has completely blown me away.

I can’t believe how well realised and engaging the characters are, and I mean that in every respect - the writing, the voice acting, the design, the modelling, the texturing, the rigging, the animation - absolutely all of it is astounding.

Hats off to everyone at Naughty Dog for making what could be one of the best games and gaming experiences I have ever had - I genuinely didn’t want it to ever end. If I’m gushing like a delirious fan-boy it’s because that’s exactly what I am.

Please keep doing what you do!

Amazing stuff again…And is it possible to see wireframes too? It was amazing how the characters performed in the game…

can you give me some tips on how you sculpt what brushes do you use
what techniques, ?
Do you use dynamesh with your work or qremesher or DIVIDE?
what brushes do you mostly use?

You guys at Naughty Dog are really Zbrush Grandmasters!!! Your characters are really beautiful and inspirational.

Hope you will make a making of DVD of your zbrush characters some day and I’ll be the first in line to buy a copy.

Anyone know if there are any tutorials on how to do the hair this way in zbrush? with the texturing etc

Awesome, as soon as i beat the game i unlocked all of the concept art in the “Extras” menu. Just mindblowing the talent that went into it.
Im still hooked on the multiplayer, btw.

please please please , i just wanna know how the hair done , i love this technique and wish to know is there a tutorial to help me to understand this way for hair m thanx in advance

I can spend hours and hours looking at your amazing sculptures. Is it possible to animate this beautiful and amazingly complex sculptures in ZBrush? If yes, what about the eyes? Is it possible to rig the eyes and things like teeth?

I am not really sure but I guess he is projecting a photoshop image for the color, another one for the alpha channel (for transparency) and maybe another one for brightness. I think so because he uses simple polygons like the ones you usually wants to project images and transparencies.

I love all naughty dog works… I always followed the artists in the company… I also work in video-game industry, I read all the documentation you released on the internet and that helped me aloooot. Now I developed many techinics for better quality and performace thanks to these documents and following these posts. Mostly I create cellphones games, so we have lots of limitations and DrawCalls to control, I imagine how that would be hard to create these arts plus the scenario and shaders and keep the game with this awesome performance. My compliments.

May I ask you wich program do you use for retopology?

Topogun? 3DCoat? Maya?
