Hey Spotlamp, don’t get me wrong!
I said my opinion about the anatomy based upon the images on the first pages, and I still maintain that. I used to use the Vitruvius study also as a reference, I’d see your character without the shoulderplate, because that may alter the visual length of the arm. But somehow I still miss the rythm of the shapes on the arms for example.
I did my resaearch, and not on this occasion, but I love armours, and everything that is related to medieval times. So I have a bit knowledge about armours, and weapons, although I used to check always the internet for references. I can tell that as far as I know nor Hunyadi neither St Stephen, our first King was Scythian or Hun, so what armour they wore is irrevelant here. Hunyadi in the midst of the medieval times wore plate armour, that’s obvious. Your title suggested a Hun (or Scythian) character, and they didn’t wear too much metal, because they had to have the flexibility to achieve their famous archery skills. Hero Square has no Hun at all, there are the seven Hungarian (Magyar) chieftains, and the Kings and Lords of Hungary. Huns are prehungarian folks also referred as Scythians. They were living in between Danube and Tisza rivers around the end of the Roman Empire, and with the death of Attila in 453 they were soon sent back were they come from. More on Huns at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attila_the_Hun
They also wore bronze elements on their leather armour instead of steel.

So, I did my homework, and I think it’s a good image, but I think you have used a lot of artistic freedom :). And I ask you again that don’t get me wrong. I just wanted to help.
