The human anatomy and 11 systems of the body

i have managed to get the torso section finished at level2, and then skinned it as I have decided to make the sections separate. I am having a break and will come back to this later, tighten up on the detail and check with my now ever growing reference library and then start dividing where necessary and work the detail into it. This is taking me a long time and I have such a long way to go . The level of accuracy is now coming into question with myself as I am thinking that I will not get time to take it to the level I want as I need to get on with the other systems as soon as possible, and then go back to things as required. I am getting nervous now as my final year of university is in the balance with this project and so I am hoping I can do this considering I can prob stretch most of the project to another 6 weeks. I am hoping to make use of Z3 to clean things up and bring things together as I need to rejoin the cervical vertebrae back onto this torso section (had a little accident and lost it from this model ) thanks for all your comments as they are always valuable.

like my hero once said “Impressive…, Most Impressive.”

This is great work. I like this. :+1: :+1:

Good gravey! That’s amazing Arran!! Well done man!

following this thread with major interest…

great work dude, my most sincere compliments.

Arran,
If I were in your shoes I’d have a talk with my teacher, unless of course your one of those people who can work 18-20 hours a day for 6 weeks  . You might just try for the skeletal, and then the muscle/tendons for your completed project. Usually, your instructor will appreciate your efforts and your ability to recognize your own limitations. It will either be that or you will have to resort to outlining the process you would use for each of the 11 systems. To clarify the last sentence; you would use the ZSphere method to draw your outline of the system then you would make a skin of that outline, BUT you would only complete a small portion of the system. For instance you would ZSphere the circulatory system make your skin but only complete the heart. Again you would do the same for the nervous system, but you would only complete the brain and brain stem. The arteries and nervous system will probably drive you insane anyway .
Good Luck and keep us posted!

I too have been following this with great interest. You are doing some wonderful work and research and my hat comes off to you.
However, I rather agree with hyper1. If your degree depends on the outcome here and you only have 6 weeks left, I would aim a little lower. If you present this right, your tutors will realize how much work and effort has gone into the project in any case. I also wouldn’t put too much store in ZB3 for Mac coming out in the next 6 weeks. As a Mac user I’m looking forward to it too, but the latest (unofficial) news from Aurick was sometime in Jan or Feb. I hope I don’t sound discouraging, I think you will deserve top marks for this with a lot less than the 11 complete systems anyway.

astonishing work!looking froward to the final piece!

This is gonna be so cool!

Didnt have much time for modeling so just put some of my body parts together to create this mock up. I just wanted to find out how well my existing digestive system fitted in with the skeleton.

Looking superb :+1: You even have the appendix in there. Haha. Useless little thing isn’t it. Keep it up!!

Cheers
Brett

I have slowed down a bit at the moment with this, although spent lots of time on it, the progress feels slow but i am happy with where its going. I took a render into PS and overlayed a texture and an outline filter to get an illustrative look, all for fun to take the edge of hours and hours of modeling small changes. Still have the vertabrae to do in great detail and then …onwards.

Your work is really impressive… and this thread is really awesome!
I stay tuned… I think is a good chance for me to start learning anatomy!

Cheers, a lot of work, but a nice result!

great!!!

Pretty impressive, really you must be really patient to do this. Nice amazing work.

Inspiring indeed :sunglasses:

Arran,

Marvelous use of zspheres. Your choices for staging your images reminds me of the drawings of of George Bridgman.
