The shiny plastic is a good idea…i kinda agree with you that the robot does not look " grounded" in the scene, but shadows in Zbrush are tricky !

That is a sweet new one!! Seeing my face on there is a little trippy, but I love it! I love that material. The little monitors at the bottom are a really nice touch. I’m thinking about making an animation of all of these versions at some point (once we are bored with it,which shouldn’t be too much longer). Do you mind if I use your images for this?

I merged 2 layers in photoshop to get this one, i think its better, there a unity between the metal and the octo-skin…what do u think !

Nice copper! For a material specialist like you, the octo-skin could be better.
By the way, they are nice animals. Once diving I played with an octopus an scratched him behind his head. He did like it but when I tried to lift him he left me in a dark cloud of ink.
