The Art of Oliver Pabilona

Another EXCEPTIONAL work Oliver. This is one of my favorite threads.

Ezra

Wow realy nice character there. Are you going to paint it?? Would like to see that

man NICE! love that warrior guy, the Armour looks great!!

Evangelion Mk.- X Physical
I have always admired artists with skills in creating armour. Your work is so inspirational. I looked into details of this model and had nothing but full of admiration. The different mechanical parts, armour plates, pipes, screws and nuts were well placed to bring this character to life. Kudou! Please create more to inspire us. Thanks.

Another original concept from “kyoung hwan kim”.

I thought doing the swordsman alone would be lonely. So I did the female version from the same artist.

Stunning work! Im working on a knight myself, your work will come handy in my studies of material destruction from battles.

Very inspirational!

Really awesome stuff sir!! the amount of work put into the construction is amazing! any chance of doing a tutorial or two? these images are going in my inspiration folder if that’s okay ^^ nice understanding of folds and wrinkles of the fabric very believable imo.

Thanks!

You may. I think every artist has a folder of references and inspirations. I have one my self and I spend hours just starring at them and scrutinizing every details before starting a project.
I’m glad that the hard work paid off. The main reason that I did this last 2 project is to study different fabrics. I think I took in too much hard edge mech stuff that I forgot the other areas of 3d sculpting and modelling.

Thanks again and goodluck to you.

Really great sculpts! I know they’re fantasy but high heels on the lady… really? Helmet looks awesome though.

Haha, that put a smile on my face.

Hi Guys here’s another work of mine.
Mercenary - Scarlet Winter

Most of the job is done in ZBrush from sculpting to BPR Render. I used Max on a couple of base mesh, usually on 2 sided thin meshes like the cape or skirt. Minor post work is done in Photoshop.

The colors involved are mostly black so I decided to play along with black and white and added accent color for the metal parts.

I never thought that working with black and white to be a challenge. The main challenge is giving the right contrast of light and darkness while maintaining the visual interest.

I’m a bit worried that some of you might view it to be too dark, well that depend on your monitor. Also viewing in web make everything a bit darker though the image is adjusted for web colors.
Please tell me if your are viewing it too dark so that I could re-adjust.

The 2D concept is by Geoff Herndon he goes by the name ~Tekka-Croe
Here is the link to his website in case you want to check out his concepts and Illustration.

Wow! Your version of the locus helmet is awesome! I didn’t need to read the text to know it was the locus helmet! Really good job! I’d like to see the helmet textured!

great job on the helmet, and congratulation for scarlet.

Here is the composited image.

Rendered in ZBrush(BPR) using different matcaps. then composited in Photoshop.

Hope you like it and Merry Christmas
Comments and Critiques is always welcome.

I love everything about that render/comp!

I’m hoping to achieve something similar with a piece I’ve been working on the last few days, but I’m very new to rendering and compositions in general.
It’d be great to see some insight on how you’ve accomplished that look.

Did I mention I love it?!? Gonna be staring at this thing a good while.

Wow! Love it.

Great Work !!! Keep it up!

Awesome work.

Inspiring work - truly amazing!
