Pilou

Frenchy, wonderful challenge

Cali, please forgive what I have done with your work!!!

Frenchy, I do not know how to tell howmany pixols are in a painting, so I just went with the document size that we were not to go over (500x500), and pray that I did not do anything wrong with pixols.

So what I basically did was just have fun

All painting, messed up the lips.

Must tell you, also experimented with new brushes.

This girl struck me as a person who does not like to have roses pinned on her, so she is running from them

Cali, thank you so much for giving us this to challenge us.

Frenchy, yes I know some can paint fast, depending on their method, but this was a 2 hour job. And still I would love to start again and fix my mistakes, as from the other paintings, I now know why there is no thumb to see, I now understand the positioning of her hand. LOL.

But had a wonderful time doing this, and it has been a long while since I have painted anything or done anything in ZB, so this was a very pleasant way to get started again, and to see where I need to work on in regards to my abilities (ie, the lips).

Hope I do not insult the artist, her work is fabulous !!

Hi Kokoro
Mine was not painting but colorizing
Not exactly the same
You can make the same with the use of the strencil (On and inverse) + Use of the brush with zadd off rgb only + an intensive use of Zoom + - and the pen graphic !

  • Use of the space barre for move the canvas(deselect stencil else you move the stencil

Stencil On just the aera are "paint, Inverse (just the “line” are paint)
Just fill with rapidity and a little precision
At the end you just add some part of white colors for the lights
But I am not a pro just an hobbist player
In toshop you have the magic fill aera, in Zbrush no, so you try to find trick
Nothing mysterious
Hope this help!
Pilou
Ps Cool Cwahl
It’s not a speedy competition
Take your time!
Me I have no time so I make no really elaborated things

ah i see difference now  so i made “wrong” with first try  does not matter, i had great fun anyway

Hi Kokoro
But real “digital” painting is of course also authorized
Your was perfect and not “wrong” !
Just depending of what do you prefer
Classical way brush by brush or as “lazzy” than me fill-aera
You can mix both
Have happy painting!
Pilou
Ps
See : for example lines on my last try : they are too thick than the original!
Speed is not necessary better
Pss Cwahl It’s not necessary to post on Café Salé now
because Cali has made a special link on her site for this thread on ZBC
Other paintings about
this nice sketch
One has made 20 variations and I suppose he will continue
That’s is a real challenge
I have just 4

Cali is not only a beautiful subject but her paintings are beautiful as well!
What a great challenge thread Pilou!
A ton of great entries!
I felt inspired and had to try this!
Best Regards,
Michael
