Hey Tomas,
it’s nice to see your work completed, the vampire skull ring is really awesome. Your new ring with four skulls is great, do you think it can be done in metal? To me it seems that bones on the shank could be about 1mm thick ot even thinner which could be a problem. And I made my first ring in ZBrush/Matrix inspired by T.S.Wittelsbach, it’ll be my new wedding band

alfedo - thats great, nice work.

as far as the ring I have actually produced one. yes it is very fine and the settings worked but …

thats why I’m redesigning it a little, I think the band was a little lame so I’m re working it and beefing up the settings a bit.

here is an image of where I think im going with it.

that is the block up in modo (woohoo 401 is out)pentaskull band detail wip.JPG

Hi TS, using 401 yet?

Any one else maybe using it yet and if so any good?

Keep up the good work…

Ziggy

Stunned by your work!

Sigmund Hentze - yup downloaded it the other day. I love it, it doesnt crash on me. and it’s quite a bit faster. they have some hair features I havent quite looked into yet as I’v been a little busy getting some design work done and filling a few orders. But I hope it’s not just for rendering and actually produces a surface I can then thicken into an actual object. and they have new profile lofting I should be able to use alot.
one day soon I’ll be able to sit and dig. i hope, but I’m in the japanese Rolling Stone Magazine that comes out july so hopefully I’ll be a little busy next month.

I guess they did alot with their rendering and animation features, but as you see I have no knowledge about that end of the 3d world lol. but i do like that red clay material. lmao

I’m so jelous of you guys that can render. UV mapping … isnt that what that satillite does to mars.

cherub_rock - Thanks a lot. I do apreciate it.

Great works! I cant believe I missed this thread for so long. Amazing detail and solid looking work. :+1:

Aberrant- thanks a million.

here is an image of the model for the block up above. as you can see the band is still in block up.

I’ll post pics when I get it cast.

I use Modo as well. Do you have any good tips for modeling gem shapes?

I use matrix to generate my stones because they are scaled.
but if you email me I can email you some of those gem OBJs from matrix and you can retopo them in modo so they are cleaner models.

feel free to contact me anytime.

Tomas,
I saw your finished pieces at Matrix forum, I really like them. You are a master of detail, I wonder if you sell your jewelry only through your website or through jewelry stores too?
Happy 4th of July!

unbelievable details:+1:
I love your nice & strange works with Zbrush.

1st: I love the designs you’ve made in this thread. How did I miss it so far?
2nd: Have you tried to make a matcap of that green wax? I bet people would like using it, especially if they are designing jewelry as well.

alfedo - Thanks a million, there are a few stores out there that carry the work mostly ovreseas. But I’m always on the lookout for good stores to work with.

Mistwalker - thank you very much it is appreciated.

Slosh - thank you, i’ll look up how to do a mat cap and make one for the wax. good idea, thanks.

and I must apologise now because this isnt realy zbrushy but I have to post it for those friends of mine that get there news of me from this forum.

I made it to the cover of the Japanese RollingStone Magazine. I dont know if i have ever seen a band cover story put so much info about a jeweler in it.

all I can say is if I dont get a bump in sales off this one I’m going to fire myself obviously I’m doing something wrong.

thank you guys for your patience with me and this post.

I have no idea what it says but I assume it’s good
