Status update

I never thought they would wait this long in January considering they missed the first dead line …wow

maybe they are shooting for the 31st, which is a Saturday…

every time I see a top row change it blows my mind

LISA NEEDS BRACES!!! LISA NEEDS BRACES!!! LISA NEEDS BRACES!!!

Get the lead out Gaboury!

I’d rather have a stable and mind-blowing 4R7 than a early one

Since the waiting for the release of 4R7 has become pretty disappointing (are we sure when they said January they meant of the year 2015?), this thread has diverted into speed sculpting and plugin talk; so I’m gonna add my 2 cents and congratulate KeuPon for his ZAdjustor 2.0 plugin I just installed and is way awesome!!! Can’t wait to use it the next time I sculpt something.

at this point ill take bugs

Common before 4R7 how did you do ???
It’s a cool new toy they’ll give us, but seriously nobody really NEEDS it for now.
It will surely become indispensable very soon after its delivery
And the more stable it will be, the more essential it will become in our workflows.
Bugs are really frustrating, and more than that it can really mess with your work if you’ve got a deadline, and then when crashes will happen people will rant, forgetting how they wanted 4R7 to come out quickly.

Take all the time you need Pixologic, we know that you’re doing a very good job like usual, and of course we’re eager to get 4R7 in our hands (you’ve even made us have wet dreams about it) but we can wait some days more (…weeks ?).

Keep up the good work !!!

hes speaking on his behalf, not everyone…we all have different work flows

In anticipation of 4r7’s release (which it looks like I can just afford) does anyone have a list or website of “Must have” addons. Never used ZBrush before so any help would be appreciated.

Also for training I have a sub to digital tutors and one to Lynda.com any other good learning sites I should know about?

TIA
SC

UArtsy.com - home of Ryan Kingslien, who used to help develop ZBrush. Lots of training to be had there. As for must have add-ons, just look through the various forums here. Also visit the Download Center at Pixologic.com as well as the ZClassroom.

Oh! Also check out Badking.com.au and http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=137585

A friend of my Henning Sanden and I run a tutorial website called FlippedNormals.com. We have a whole series of small tips to speed up your workflow, but I think most importantly is our Introduction to ZBrush. It’s an introduction to get you sculpting in less than an hour. No prior knowledge is needed, so I think this would be perfect for you. All of the content is free, so check it out if you like

Also, can’t wait for R7…

While some of it is pay (and worth it) there is a lot to be had that is free. Alphas, insertmesh brushes and ztools that are all good. Some materials and brushes too.

As far as training I say check out the helmet tutorial on the pixologic site. It really covers most of the tools and is especially good for cutting your teeth on hard surface. it’s at http://pixologic.com/zclassroom/homeroom/lesson/helmet-design-with-joseph-drust/

Ok Pixologic… There is a possibility(small) that I may die of anticipation if you dont release R7 today. Seriously… dont let me die… because I hear it sucks…

Come on…now is the Time! Pixo give us this Gem…if it was planned for december…and posticipated for gen …don’t say that it come on the last day of this month… Come on!
:D:D

Giulled, I said the same thing. I thought atleast early jan …

Thanks for the link to your site Morten, I’ll check that out. Always looking for tips to speed things up and more!

not only these sites that are really useful, there are books which it did helped me greatly since i wasn’t able to understand what people are saying in these videos, that is because I’m deaf IRL which it explain why.

there the books i’m talking about :

this book is the newest product they did, it will teach you various thing about workflows, useful tools, it even have small tips that will tell you about Zbrush 4R7! it’s also too the second volume of the previous one which you will see the next one.

it’s very first book of zbrush dedication about how to sculpt characters, it’s a very good one because it’s where everyone is able to start Learning how to use zbrush, despite his age which it use zbrush 4r4 or 4r5 but it was enough good to start with because most of these step by steps are mainly workflows advices.

now there are a list of E-books things that you can buy digitally, most of them comes from the magazine 3dcreative which someone did mentionned it early. they’re very good to learn from, i did own some of these for the sake of my learning!

i do hope you will appreciate these books/e-books

Pixologic, due to this enormous undertaking, fully understand and forgive the
delays.
Take your time, better to put out a quality product then to rush due to
pressure.
If this thread shows anything it is that Zbrush users are loyal
When it is ready, it is ready

I agree

no! no! no!

don’t lie you!!!

I know you really want it now, so don’t be polite people!!! Want it rrriiight nnoww!! Can’t wait anymore!!

just being honest!:+1:
(and by saying so I show real appreciation for pixologic products indeed!)
