Stan the T Rex

Hi Zbrushers

Im finally allowed to share some recent work. Just finished up sculpting another 50 plus caricatures for ITV televisions series 2 of Newzoids in the UK.

Crazy schedule where I ended up sculpting 1 character per day towards the end.

I was fortunate enough to have been working with a really good sketch artist called Mike Giblin who delivered some really superb sketched views.

All of the designs were firstly sculpted in Zbrush. Two versions were needed…one with the mouth and another blank so that the CGI team could add a digital mouth. The files were then decimated and sent for 3D print.

Thanks

…well, that’s different. Ha,love it!
BTW It’s no less terrifying that Dinosaurs are giant birds, instead of giant lizards.
When do you think Science will change the root words?

Hi Zbrushers.

Been busy a while teaching zbrush in a few institutions. Its amazing how quickly you can “heal” and “fix” a mudbox user to become obsessed with the Z

There needs to be a new or variant internet law that states “If a thing exists, someone has sculpted it in Zbrush”. Case in point, I have now seen T-Rex poop.

I’m new of Zbrush and this is astonishing. i’m so n00b with that ( 1 month of training by myself with tutorials ) that i even don’t know how you make that. It’s even a 3D model or is all using zsketch? It’s so perfect that seems a canvas. My complete ammiration, for what it worth.

Thanks manuel

Z brush is all about practice. Its that simple. And the desire needs to be there to become as good as you can be.

Keep on zbrushing…it changes everything … never be intimidated by other peoples work. We all started somewhere.

The Allosaurus image is all Zbrush rendered against a forest scene in keyshot

Stunning - great pose and sense of animation. Bravo:+1:

Thanks Etcher…its a game changing printer. Bit of tinkering with it but the results are better than any of my other printers…cannot recommend this machine enough

That print is amazing Pete, great work!

Thanks Nolan…you havent posted in ages…what you up to?

New project…

Australopithecus… one of our earliest ancestors

I bought the CR 10 to play with but the more you play with the machine, the more options and possibilities you see.

Printing this guy out full size with the plan being to paint…add glass eyes then cover with hair and fur

Quite nice detail. What was your layer height?

hey Zam

Thats sliced using Cura at Normal…you can go finer. Present layer height is .1 mm.

the trick seems to be to print at about 40 mm per second

Wow just :+1: :smiley:amazing!!
