I really like that last one, nice form

Framedworld: Thanks

Finished the body for the demon. This is my first full body sculpt.

Awesome stuff! Not only the sculpting, but I really like the lighting and rendering on all your stuff here too. :+1:small_orange_diamond:sunglasses:small_orange_diamond:+1:

zber2: Thanks! Rendered it in vray with a simple studio lighting setup.

Quick one hour speed sculpt.

Hi, I’m very new to ZBrush. The red guy, which is very interesting by the way, how did you render that? Inside ZB? What kind of environment/settings?

Tooltip: I exported the model at about 1 million polys into 3ds max and rendered it with vray in a studio lighting setup. The material is a simple standard material with some gloss and specularity. The final render settings were irradiance map set to high, and brute force. Then photoshop for some colour tweaking and sharpening the image.

Sculpted this alien over the weekend.

Going to start sculpting the body

Nice SShader do you export you model without decimation? what are you using with V-ray ,3dsmax?

Liked all the works you posted here, keep the updates!

TheZakMan: Thanks! I export the models without decimation up to 3 million polys, maybe 4 if I’m lucky. Bring them into 3ds max and put an optimize modifier on the mesh. When it’s time for the final render, I just turn off the optimize modifier and let it render. Takes about 3 hours on my rig (dual-core) for a good quality render.

Started sculpting the body, still got to work on the arms and hands.

nice proportions, cool finger techniques, smart, consider the technique “stolen”

TheGreenMachine: Thanks. I figured I’d leave the fingers for the end since dynamesh and fingers don’t really work well together lol.

Here’s a turnaround of the finished sculpt. Now on to polypainting.

I finished polypainting this guy.

Going to bring him into max and render him with vray.

Let me know what you think

Very interesting color choices! It reminds me of some species of jellyfish. (In a good way!) Would love to see some gentle texture designs in there,
some subtle spots or patterning to break up the solidity of the blue regions. But that’s just a personal taste thing. I also wish his eyes hadn’t lost
their earlier shine. It helped give him character.

Amazing work! Can’t wait to see more!

Rykka: Thanks! Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about the texture, felt a little too empty on his torso and back. And for the eyes, I forgot to change the matcap when I did the render (oops)

Here’s the final render of the alien. I worked on the texture a bit more.

Here’s the front and side view. Rendered in vray with some colour tweaking in photoshop. I’m going to render the back view tonight so i’ll upload it tomorrow.

Tell me what you think

Beautiful! I love his smile too. Very expressionate face! This would also be a fantastic model to come back to if you ever want to work on some really unique clothing/armor, as it would be a great canvas for that.

A head that I sculpted today. I’m thinking of giving him some late 19th century clothing.

Worked on some clothing, but I’m not sure where I’m going with him yet. This is the first time I tried sculpting clothing so comments and crits are very welcomed

Here’s two 1 hr speed sculpts I did this weekend. The second one was inspired by Jordu Schell.
