What a great breakdown, thanks so much for sharing this!
This work defy all logic, very inspirational, thanks for the break down.
Immensely useful. Wonderful of you to post!
Awesome, awesome, awesome!
I just logged in to say thank you for your breakdown!
Your methods have enlightened me to a better way to work than what I was doing.
Very grateful!
Cheers,
Mark
Fantastic breakdown! So much to learn.
I was wondering, what do you mean by “delete contours”? As in, cut out and delete the messy edges of a mesh?
Hey Marco, I went through all the 3 parts of this tutorial. I’m amazed at how much work this was and how great it looks. I could have never thought of something like this. It is amazing! And I really appreciate that you took the time to create this tutorial. I’ve learned many things while reading through it.
Great work!
Stunning work, inspiring. Excellent work on showing all of your processes. Really interesting stuff.
Hey everyone, thanks for the comments
nagulov: By delete contours, I mean delete everything that is not the inside shape. In that case, I “extract” and shape by masking out part of the mesh, then I delete what is hidden, then I Slice (Slice Curve) the contours to have a good silhouette, hide what is not the inside shape and delete whats hidden (what I call the “contours”). Instead of using the Slice Curve, you can also just use Grooploops but it gives soft results. Also at any time during the process you can Zremesh your mesh if you feel it’ll help (it’s an extra step tho)
Amazing sculpt and breakdown, really inspiring. Thank you soo much Marco.
amazing work man, i love details and tuts… great!
my pleasure
I saw this image over on Artstation a few days ago. Very striking.
Thanks for the reply!
This album is all over my FB feed as well, it’s really struck a chord with folks. And for good reason, tons of good tips. I keep thinking I should attempt hard-surface in zbrush, tuts like this make the notion less scary…
Awsome brakedown and great model.
thanks all!
Great breakdown Marco! Thanks very much for putting it together!
