Something for work…
As usual Mad… awesome modeling The details, the details!
The hidden face… EXQUISITE!
Cool cool cool!
Man! You’re GOOD!!!
PS.
In 31 minutes you already have a 5 star rating
thats awesome! whats goin on with the skull/face?
your scuplted forms are amazing!
cant… stop… looking…
Wow…your work is simply amazing. I love the soft, yet detailed feeling of the pieces, it would be great to see a sample of your workflow…great job!!
wow… so beautiful.
Really fine detail… subtle and strong!
elarcano-Hey, thanks man! Always good to hear from you.
veedubb- thank you, the skull is kind of a mark left by the ixies… evil fairies! They are the bad guys in this little game I’m working on.
Mikeporetti-I appreciate it man thanks.
pixolClay- Thank you, I’ve been meaning to make another script and post it… I guess I better get on it.
ThaoLe- Thank you!
Plakkie- Thanks!
"Great Snail ! " ,Jeff…you have a very recognizable brushstroke style …lots of sharp-edged thin -layer details…must be hard to find a material and a texture that does not destroy all that work !
Looking forward to the rest of the characters in this story !
jantim
Like others have mentioned, great simplicity in your style. you put detail where it’s needed, and didnt stick texture all over the thing just because you can. Good stuff
jantim-Thanks… yeah the texure typically covers most of the subtle details. It’s all good though I have fun doing it
Art-Machine- Thank you, yeah that is something I’ve noticed a little in this forum. Some people go kinda crazy with the surface textures. It’s just a matter of opinion I suppose. I just like to see the forms and structure a little more myself, but I make sure I use it when it’s needed, like the bump on the snails back. Anyway thanks again.
Very nice sculpt Madmac!
That’s a very interesting creature Love the fine strokes!
Precise and elegant - Bravo !!!
madmac,
Freakishly beautiful and mezmerizing.
Is the uniqueness and quiet mastery of your work a side effect of some uber brush or plugin you’ve developed for ZBrush, or is it simply you being you, working only with the factory-made brushes?
Any links to tutorials you’ve produced or previous answers to, “Howdjya do it?” questions?
Arghhh! How did you do it?
What demands must be met for you to record tutorial DVDs of each of your sculpts? I’m already waiting in line for the series.
Thanks for posting and even considering making a script, and congratulations on the amazing snail.
Looking forward to the game, if only to watch your artwork squirm and slime across the screen.
piz- Thanks man!
undoz- Thank you!
Kaizer_Soze- Thanks!
ravioli_rancher- Thank you very much!
I just use the standard brush… nothing fancy here.
I don’t know the first thing about making dvd’s, but as soon as I get some breathing room I’ll make another script and post it in this thread .
Here is the textured version… I probably should’ve put some more love into it, but I just ran out of time. Hope you like it.
Thanks again everybody for the great compliments!
Hey Mad, I hate when time becomes a tyrant and doesn’t allow you to finish things… specially when it’s you!
Man! This is good Mad
Say, I know this might sound like a dumb question but what do you do for a living and how did you get started with ZB… and where can I steel your Super ZBrush powers?
Looking great Mad
PS.
If I’m not wrong all you have to do is press record whenever you model in order to make a script … just though thinking out loud
PSS.
Damn! I can’t vote again
Wow! Very cool shaders especially that of the body!
Reminds me of Karl Yost pottery.
So give us a hint on the texturing…layer brush, custom or standard alpha, what? Where’s that begging icon?
madmac,
You have the oozing mitas touch with the standard brush. Definately something extremely magical going with your sculpting.
I was being greedy when requesting the DVDs. Maybe, instead, for Reflexive’s next game, you can get them to code a Shockwave or Flash “Sculpting with Madmac” app.
I imagine everyone in the forum is eager to watch as many scripts as you have time to record.
Great painting pass on the snail. The shell colors are beautiful.
