Brilliant stuff.

Okay… This might sound weird, but I really like how you thought about her, um, reproductive area. I mean, you can see this type of character, sexy and seductive (to some lone sailor, and definitely not me) having both breasts and a vagina. And you modelled it in such a way that makes sense. It looks functional (location-wise).
On top of that, the whole model, and pretty much all of your work is absolutely phenomenal.
Fantastic work sir!
Ya know, I kind of always wondered where a mermaid’s hoo-hoo was located. Glad you cleared that up
Very, very well done sculpting on this, regardless of where the concept came from. I am very impressed.
damn those are good!
Each one is pretty awesome man. I am really looking forward to more.
Thanks
Geta-Ve -actually i had few ideas how to approach her ;] At first the eisney one with only shapes no nipples nice round shapes etc, but later though i will go really really graphic, in the end ended with something in between, kinda human, now i think i should have pushed it further, maybe would be less pretty, but would definitively be pretty original.
I have no idea, just a sphere sketch, at lest hes happy
and i also thouth of something additional to the golem, and im not really happy with it, looked a lot cooler in my head, guess sculpting lava isnt
Nice stuff!
Pretty awesome to me, if maybe you had some self illumination and glow going on in the mouth/head, some spatters about and mid air with some motion blur
may read like you hoped it would, otherwise still super cool
i did, i painted a lava texture, and tried to get it render with different shaders, but it ether ended up being to bright, or too dark, and im too lazy to decimate and export it to a better rendering software, but maybe i will experiment with merging few layers in photoshop, or try that material mixing rendering option i never used
so cool keep it up
I really like this concept Slocik, he looks bad ass, but your sense of humor is also showing through. Your work keeps getting better. Shows how determined you are. Looking forward to the end result.
High five,
Matt
Thanks, i do feel i got much better in the last 2 years, but definitely nowhere near any level i would like to be. Wish i worked in thsi so i could spend more time than some off days, but still its fun even to dodle around a bit.
Anew model for today, i went through like 10 horn designs, been playing darksiders 2, and had demons on my mind, and i love that top row darksiders thread. Really fig that style and concepts. The way they do wings horns and wood is insane, i really want to try to adaptt that style.
Anyway, dunno about the model, feels a bit generic, dont know if i want to finish it or start on something else, i get the feeling i sticked too much with that generic big demon guy design
Hey Slocik,
Been going through some of your older sketchbooks dating from '05, it’s very motivating for me as a beginner to see you progress this far!
Amazed by your sculpts in this sketchbook, they all look grand. Some of these crazy designs gave me a few ideas myself
I was wondering what your presentation-material is for the latest models? I’ve been looking for a nice and clean one for me to show my own models with.
Also, how can you not do this for a living!? (If I understood it correctly that is)
Cheers,
Johan
Awesome demon, keep it up!
Killing it as usual Slo ! great job on these latest sculpts. love em.
Great work man! Keep posting and it does feel good to know all the sacrifices we have made as ZB’ers pays off.
thanks guys, yeah maybe i will get back to making more stuff
Lithvall -im not sure where i got this materiel, by the looks of it it seems to be a copy of the standard mudbox material that i modified a bit, but i probably got it form this guy http://luckilytip.blogspot.com/, amazing korean artist, i dont understand a word he says, but his videos and materials are great, he has more on his blog
And to sculpt for a living you have to have someone who is willing to pay for it ;D
also heres the file, its much better to play around with hue and saturation in material options than to try to use colors with it
Lets cal it done.
Hey man! Just wanted to say that you have really captured some of that Darksiders style. In my opinion, Darksiders has some of the best visual style I have ever seen. I love everything about it!
Great job!
