I haven’t sculpted in a few days, I’ve been teaching a youth class on 3D modeling, its been fun, and affords me the ability to focus on my thesis and portfolio.
but to get back into the flow I did a thundercats kinda concept. Idk, just playing around. just about 40 min on him, didn’t want to lock down anything yet, so I kept it free

I immediately thought of thundercats when I saw this. Of course, if I had read the previous post I would have known it were thundercat inspired. I think his arms may look a little short though. Are you sculpting the whole body?
yea, idk if it really is thundercats inspired haha, I’ve only seen a pic or two. I’ve never went into this going okay lets do thundercats.
And Idk if the whole body will be done, I just might leave it here. the angle is off. I was playing around with the waist and a powerpoint at the same time:)
I think I’m going to focus on doing a better render of my vamp, and finally finishing the props to hellboy. Not to mention a freelance, a thesis and something with pixologic themselves. so lets see where my time leaves me haha

Cool Lion-o interpretation. I do think the proportion of the pectorals/chest area to the rest of the torso is off. Particularly the arms.

it looks like that because I narrowed the waist. I also wasn’t going for human anatomy, its a cat man
adjusted the torso, I’m think I might be done, unless someone wants to see legs.

My class finished, my lesson plans held together, always a nice feeling seeing as this was my first time teaching, but I do have some time this weekend, hopefully I’ll get some sculpting time in. Tonight I was out celebrating so I’m beat haha, but I did come home and play with my cat…man haha. I do need to add a tail, and texture him, and finish the legs (I’m going for a cat like leg shape maybe, definitely shorter than average human anatomy dictates

found myself busier than usual today, but I did get a chance to screw around with it:
started a belt for him, going tribal I think?
I was just about to give up on this guy, I figured there was no point. But just for ****s and giggles I decided to take a break from a new project I have, and just give it one more go, and for the first time since starting this piece I kind of like where its going. redid the back, adjusted the torso and just about every other piece, and fixed proportions
