Shawn Ray, Bodybuilder

Hi all!

Here is a new wip from me, after my Arnold I decide to do a still of one of the best shape in bodybuilding, Shawn Ray. This model will be all Z-brushed, so I will do a turnable at the end. So the basic mesh is there.

Here is the first step of z-brushing, the back area is not done, not the had to… it’s just the beginning and some fix can be done, but here it goes :

here is an old test render with eyes and teeth with an UGLY texture lol just to see how the smile look:

Great start. Which software did you create your base mesh in? Also, could we see the wireframe on your base mesh?

I use Max for the basemesh, I will post a wire next time !

Here is an update on the back, basic mass are there I will tweak it again and after I will add fiber and veins and I will do the rear are the arms and hands to. I tweak a little bit more the abs and nostril… and some little things, add veins and supersize some.

Here is an older render I did with theets and eyes, the render suck but it gave an idea :slight_smile:

Excellent work on the body, but while I can definitely see some facial likeness in the first base-mesh image, I dont see any at all in the following. Just my 2 cents.

hey… I need your help!! It’s a really boring thing that happen to me… and in plus, my displacment map have more artefact… I will have to arrange it in photoshop… check this out and LET ME KNOW IF I CAN DO SOMETHING to get the things back! And I cannot recup an older scene…

let me know if you know a solution, and by the way, all the post I post here was wrong volume to… :frowning: I hope I can get it back! if not, I gonna loose many hours to correct all the problems of volumes plus ths bugs in the displacement maps and the nails…etc…

that’s great sculpting …specialy for the body . My only concern is event if his skin is black …is still have a face of a white guy.

Maybe he’s just have a massive tan ???

hey there amazing sculpting again, really feel the muscles in tension. as for your problem have you tried clicking on the CAGE tab next to your subd levels, it supposed to retain your shape in its lowest level to your highest. anyways great work!!

Good to see you’re on another project! Looking great so far, as expected. Unfortunately, I have no advice for your problem, but I hope it works out for you. I’m sure one of these masterz will be able to help you.

Hi, I have finally get out the bug at 90 %, because I had layer, the kind of push effect as been on the layer that was selected when this happen, I was lucky hten that layer only contain neck wrinkle, so I delete it! :smiley: I just had to correct the outer pec a bit and it’s ok now.

Here is an update, I tweak inner abs, add veins, tweak back and add details, I have to finish those rear triceps and doing all the details on both hands.
