Posing test…

JBEcorche02.jpg

great!

Really like the heroic feel and planar quality! :+1:

Posing test looks great face is looking heroic and also loved the style

This is an amazing work Filipe … thx for sharing with us :sunglasses:

Looking great!!! Very, very cool.

Is there an easy way to “skin” the echorche later? Or how are you planning to add the skin layer?

Keep up the good work.

Thanks klausknuth, Santis and rahulcamma.

Thanks boeserWolf… but the name is not Filipe

Thanks Ruso. To skin the ecorche, I think a dynamesh could do the job.

sorry seanGH, probably the result of looking at too much threads simultaneously.:wink:

Here is some progress on my Green Lantern…

Thanks Klaus.

Progress on my ZBrush Batman based on John Byrne art…

wow you have come a long way and totally nailed the comic book anatomy.
are you planing to make a female version? or any marvel heroes?

Yeah, the stylized anatomy is just great :+1:

Thanks mavinova. A female version would be nice but first I have to improve my “posing” skills. Concerning Marvel heros, I have been considering Captain America for some time now.

Thanks Santis.

Awesome work. You make me really curious about your work methods. If you don’t mind me asking, how are you sculpting the muscles? Zspheres and then using planar-type brushes? Or something else?
And how are you posing the muscles with the skeleton? Are they subtools with anchor points? I haven’t tried that yet but your results look great… and like an excellent way to learn anatomy, realistic or comic-styled

Thanks cissell. Sorry to answer so late but the holidays kept me busy

Concerning the muscles, I used the same method as for the bones, i.e., sculpt an approximate shape then retopologize, add creases etc…

As for posing, I am still trying to find a good method. At present, I use a single tool for both the skeleton and the muscles. Most of the work consists then in getting the right mask for a given rotation, i.e., only rigid body motion of the bones (except the spine), respect of the origin and insertion points of the muscles etc… This seems to work for small deformations but, for bigger amplitudes, I will probably have to resculpt.

And, by the way… Happy New Year!!!

Sean, I really enjoyed looking at your progress, and hope to see more, keep it up

Thanks danmart.

Here is some very early work on the helmet of Guardian/Vindicator from Alpha Flight.
