Welcome to vertebra heaven… those are lookin’ great!
!
earthtriber: Thanks a lot bud!
Energise: Yeah, not a bad idea, you will get a massive discount for sure
Aberrant: Thank you very much
Etcher: Haha that’s right, how I’ve been longing
It’s actually not bad at all, I learned a lot from doing them. But I guess I got the spine hell in front of me now;)
I’ve been feeling ill the last couple of days and took a break doing a spontaneous relaxation sculpt over the day to recover(Zbrush is good medicine).
I got inspired by an illustration by Dave Rapoza, a toad Goblin fantasising about pretty ladies…

Thanks man! looking forward to it
Sorry to hear you are feeling ill, but you are right just take two zips of ZB both morning and night and you will fell much better hehe
Nice work on the goblin!
[font=Times New Roman]Energise: Thank you!
This busy week was going to be an almost Zbrush free week, but was it?
Nooooo-no-no-no…
I just had to make the skeleton printer friendly since I have the chance of getting it printed.
I worked some more on the simplified spine and chest and connected it to a base, this is how it turned out:
Wish me luck :)

I think if it didn’t say what it was I wouldn’t know :D:D:D Nice study
Do you ever get a glitch with the smooth brush and your cintiq? I get an annoying glitch where the smooth brush just keeps on roughing up the model instead of smoothing. Like as if its locked on for some reason. I have to close and then open Zbrush to get it to work properly, and sometimes that doesnt fix it.
That happens if you’re using a brush like MalletFast, in my experience. Something is inverted with the brush, making smooth an anti-smoother.
Cool! When will you have the print? .
cherub_rock: Haha, thanks:D
SadamHu: Sounds weird, have never happens to me.
BlueThousand: Hmm, it doesn’t happen to me…
Etcher: Thanks you
Well I added it to a lottery so every Friday I have the chance of winning it, so I’ll just have to hold my thumbs I’ll post it here for sure if that happens
Umm… looks like I missed your updates again.
Im so busy ...plus the contest.. I haven
t visited the main forum often during the last days. Thats not a good excuse.. but it
s the only one I have.
Your goblin is very cool. :D I like the way you did the hair. And kudos to you for the anatomy stuff. Very nice!! (Also kudos to you for eating things which look like parts of a vertebrae. LOL )
Thanks Moni, it’s okay!
I was lucky to win the lottery and got my skull and chest reference printed!
Because of the nice white porcelain like surface it was hard to get a good picture of it.

Great works man!! very good…Thank you for visiting my sketchbook.
Congrats man! Has Paulo gotten the new printing powder?
How smooth is the surface?
It looks awesome!
Great sketchbook and works…Right into my inspiration folder…
Wanted to thank you for that free skull…I just stumbled onto it while going through your sketchbook…
Posting my first little experiment with it now,…thought it the right thing to do by thanking you first before I post it…THANK YOU FOR SHARING…Santis.
Christian Rio:Thanks alot!
Energise: Man, you need to start going to bed earlier
Thank you, you should send in Mr.Cowboy Gandhi, would be cool
Yeah, it’s the new powder and I really like the feel of it, it’s not smooth, it feels more like very fine sandpaper.
Spirit Dreamer: Wow, thank you, it’s an honor to know that you are inspiring another artist
Hope you find the skull useful
At the moment I’m super busy with some non-Zbrush related stuff but I’ll get back to anatomy studies in probably three weeks or so
hahahaha you are soo right!
I like sculpting until 7 in the morning, only time you can get peace hehe…
Yeah I might do that!
So, now I finally got some time to sculpt again!
I will continue with my anatomy studies (I promise!) but to warm up I sculpted and painted a head/bust, just an improvisation, nothing fancy.
But now I have stared at it for too long, and he have been staring back at me so I decided to call it done…
Enjoy:evil:
I would love to hear what you think

I like the head sculpt without the eyes and horns, I’m not sure about the big eyes, and the placement / integration of the horns on the skull, might be cool to do some experimenting with eyes & horns shapes 'n forms
.
Hey Santis nice sketchbook you have and thanks for the skull-tool.
I absolutly agree with Etcher, the eyes look a little bit too big compared to the shapes of the skull underneath.
The horns could have a better transition to the skull and maybe a bit more volume at their base/connection to the skull
thanks for the comment at my sketchbook aswell
Etcher: Thanks
I absolutely agree, thanks for the feedback, I went blind after working for too long with it, I will see what I can do.
schiefer: Thanks a lot, you’re welcome!
Yeah now that you say it, and I have seen your faun guy, I agree on the horns, they should be thicker at the base.
