Samuel's Zbrush Adventure!

@Chailan, Thanks man. I also prefered the first face compared to that other one, so I wiped it all clean, gave her fresh topology for better morphs and re did the face, Also attempted some sort of quick composition or something, Enjoy

Back to the speed sculpts, feels good after spending so much time on one project!
Here is the Ancient Pharaoh Akhenaten  Enjoy

Hello,

Today I sculpted Meritaten the Princess of Egypt and Akhenatens Eldest Daughter. will probably take her further.

Another little personal project, learning the basics of landscape rendering. Wondering how to mix the use of terragen into my Zbrush workflow.
Lake View Mountain500.jpg first attempt at this sort of thing in a long while, but it is fun

In the env. image - either the mountain is very small (which couldn’t explain the altitude snow) or the trees are incredibly big. Whatever it is, the scale is off and you should work with real world units or at least proportions if the program doesn’t know about real units.

Another personal study on Environmental stuffs. Still a bunch to learn, but I’m having fun so far

Where are the comments??? Am I the only one who see these awesome works??? fantastic.love the Archer catgirl and the robot.keep up the great works my friend.:+1::wink:

all arts are great but I like especialy enviroment stuff that U make, looks very good:+1:

@Diablo, Thank you pal ^^ it has been a bit quiet in here haha, glad you like them

@b2przemo, Thanks a bunch, It’s something new that I’ve been having fun playing around with. I’ll keep making more

you have good sense of composition, and even without advanced Sky systems and path trayced rendering engines your results looks very convincing.
You should definitely make it more

The environments are great, the only thing I didn’t like was probably the water. By didn’t like I meant it’s not as photo realistic as everything else haha. How much Photoshop is in those renders, and what render do you use?

@b2przemo, Thanks for the kind words, I’ve still got a tonn to learn, but I’m glad it sounds like I’m going in the right direction so far

@Johnnynapalmsc, Hi there, Thanks for sharing your critique, I’m always happy to hear what others have to say, The Program I was using for these environments is called Terragen, It is built specifically for creating photorealistic sceneries, so it feels kind of hard to get it wrong :stuck_out_tongue: There are still many thing to learn, Here is a quick before and After Photoshop reference. I have been trying to find ways to incorporate a workflow with Zbrush and terragen, but this is all I’ve got so far :stuck_out_tongue:
before after.jpg

What parts were done in Zbrush?

@MentalFrog, In The enviromental pieces so far, nothing From Zbrush, although in some other tests I have made trees and bushes in Zbrush then imported them at populations within Terragen, but I don’t think it has much in the way of skin shaders and good UV management. Still, maybe I’m wrong  (unless you were asking about my work in general, everything that isn’t enviro was made in Zbrush! ^^

Hi I was wondering how you got your “Mt Fuji” shaped mountain in Terragen? Did you create it elsewhere and then import it? – I am new to Terragen 3 and am having a hard time getting a pointed mountain like Mt Fuji.

I have been wondering if ZBrush can create height maps that Terragen can import - if so in what format do you export them?

Thanks
LD

ZBrush can export in TIFF and BMP format, I believe those are two of the formats supported by Terragen. You could sculpt out your mountain on a plane and then view it from the top. Use GrabDoc under Alpha>TRansfer to capture the document as an alpha. Then export out to TIFF format. There’s a free macro floating around the forum here that will speed that all up for you.

Edit: actually, I was wrong, it can be found here:

@LD, As Teyon Pointed out, Terragen heighmaps can be imported as Tiff and BMP  I was using World machine, can be downloaded for free here www.world-machine.com and following the free tutorials from http://geekatplay.com/world-machine-tutorials.php
In fact the whole mountain scene was created via following his tutorials on both programs so it’s a pretty good way to get familiar with both programs, they make a powerful combination. hope this helps

Back to Basics, This morning I was Planning on making a robot, then decided my robot needed a Pilot, I thought a female Pilot would suit, I soon realized none of my previous female character attempts were of any quality so I did another Anatomy study.
Still a lot to learn so please be brutally honest haha ^^
