One of my New Years resolutions was to start a zBrush sketchbook, so here’s the beginning…

Interesting start keep going
I love the texture! Keep on
I like the color combinations you are using, textures, and the character in your dragon so far…
Thanks for the feedback so far! Taking a break from the above alien / dinosaur bust, decided to do some anatomy sculpting and cartoonish stuff today.
Trying to delete a post…
I decided to take the “Longfaced” bust further this evening - he may eventually turn into a full character as I like the direction he’s heading. I stopped sculpting around the forearms so the anatomy isn’t really touched in some spots. Gotta finish up the alien first though.
Pretty cool actually, I can’t wait to be able to do similar things on my own, it looks good keep up the good wor
1 Hour Warf on my lunchbreak
1 Hour Hulk - This is another sketch over my lunch hour.
Its very interesting, you’re work is much different from others, its unique (:
Thanks Kici! Glad you’re enjoying my work. I should be able to start posting more than 1 hour busts soon!
So you’ve done all of these from scratch all of it in one hour ?
Everything minus the Alien bust was an hour, I do it at work over my lunch break. I don’t use any reference for the sketches as I think it would influence my creativity. I start them off usually just setting up 3-4 zspheres and go from there.
I had a chance to work on the Anklyosaurus Alien today, I added his teeth and played around with collar pieces. I think the collar is going to have some cool detailed glyphs along the raised patches. This is more of a comp test and exploring ideas for my final render. Comments & Crits are always welcome.
Your work is looking great man! Keep it up.
I had some time today to work on my stylized character, added the lower body and worked in some more anatomy - again neglecting the hands and forarms for now.
I plan on having him pretty heavily clothed, so I know anatomy isn’t really important for this guy, I just figured I needed the practice. Please feel free to crit / paint over / sugguestions.
I was too tired to model a keg or barrel tonight, so just imaging its there.
Played around with posing him using Zspheres, worked alright - but I had to do a lot of re-sculpting to fix pinching issues. Most likely because it was my first time using the Zsphere rig method.
I will probably do a quick paint over for his clothes and props, then head into modeling it all onto the t-pose etc…
The left side anatomy was neglected as well as the hands / forearms solely because I was just exploring posing and rendering for the paint over.
Did Character clothing / partial equipment exploration this evening. I think it will serve as a decent base for his overall look / feel.
Update for his equipment / clothing. I have a few things to consider before reaching the retop stage - his weapon and his welding mask.
After looking at the dual-wrenches I found it lazy from a design stand-point and have opted for a single larger modular wrench - for now. His mask is my second issue as it needs to be able to zip up and down - I believe I can do this with blend shapes but this will take some experimentation.
Anyways, here is the update. As always, crits / comments are encouraged.
