Roland Deschain - The Gunslinger (WIP)

Hey guys!

After being extremely inspired by Dryn’s low-poly game character Gunslinger thread and actually reading through the Dark Tower series, I wanted to try my hand at modeling Ronald Deschain.

Here’s his current state:

He’s still very much a WIP, no real surface detailing yet and I plan on making some major proportional changes. The direction I am heading for is somewhere between Dirty Harry and Blondie - Clint :slight_smile:

Let me know what you think! Crits and feedback would be more than appreciated!

There’s been some major proportional changes (specifically the face). I will be refining it even more. Again, everything is still very rough!

I love the head and the hair more than the cloth ! I think that more work must be added on the shirt and the pants

He’s looking a lot like Clint Eastwood. Pretty good stuff. Roland is one of my favorite fiction characters.

Nice, stylistic take on Eastwood. I knew it was him from the thumbnail. I was just watching THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY last week. It looked beautiful in HD!

Excellent job - really like that sketchy look.

It wasnt shot in HD so you couldnt see much more :wink: More saturated, digitally scaled up… Thats about it. If details were not in original they will not magically appear in HD or any other big, modern format. Good job on autosuggestion :wink: Love the movie though.
