.hello shockblade. You say “Gseaman 3d i hear what your saying”.

You ‘hear’ him but you still do not understand him. From his mention of leonardo da vinci, he was saying that because leonardo had made a formula for basic proportions, every artist that does anatomy uses the evolved version of that formula. It is very basic and is taught in every figure drawing art class.

You obviously assume that he means that ‘everything must be perfect!!!’ which is not what he is saying at all. You are so defensive and closed off.

Strive for ‘good’ , stop mentioning perfect, nobody says that word other then you

thats my current work in progress, I’ve only started using Zbrush since this past January and I know I still have a LOT to learn before I’ll even consider myself “good”. I still have some issues with proportions but when someone calls me out on it I actually listen to what they are saying and fix the mistake, if not on the current model then I apply the corrections on the next one.

That is what I have suggested you do, as everyone has from the start. Listen to what people are saying, and learn from it. So yes, I do take my own advice. Maybe you should look up the artwork and threads of the other people who tried helping you to see just where the criticizm is coming from. For instance, the VERY FIRST person who critiqued you, Mindblade, has a model up here that’s far better than what you could achieve, and you got hostile with him

From what konjo said,no i do understand but their were some things i was kinda
fighting with the more you do it the more it becomes clear.We all know practice
makes perfect.Not saying im close as i would predict someone would say not

I just discovered this thread.I am speechless.

I noticed that Shockblade hasn’t posted anything new in a while. It’s disappointing to see that you guys have crushed his creativity. He was really starting to make some progress.

saying bull****s like that can do more harm than good. Shockblade was NOT improving, period. His stuffs from a couple months ago was the same as the most recent ones, and the reason why people said all those negative things to him is because he had literally throw every single useful critic down to the toilet and poo on them.

the most disgusting one can do is to give the guy false hope and actually tells him he was making progress. If there is anything this guy needs, it would be the reality.

I just wanted to see this thread keep going. Somehow it’s sad but funny at the same time.

I’m sorry to say it, but any normal person sitting in on a hour of a basic art class would result in more progress than Shockblade has made since this thread started.

You have to be willing to learn in order to get better. The only way you are going to learn is by listening to others, seeing what they are doing right and applying it in your own work.

Somewhere this connection is being lost or he is just refusing to make it.

I had been worried about posting any of my work on this forum as I don’t think that much of my sculpting abilities yet, and was waiting until I thought I had something worth posting that would show a little bit of the potential I hope I have.
After reading through this thread, it’s made me realise I’ve been worrying about nothing, I may have a long way to go but I can see the members of this forum have some great advice and if you’re willing to listen you can learn a lot here. I’ll be posting a little bit sooner than I had first thought!
I have no intention of writing anything in the way of advice to Shockblade as I feel that would be a complete waste of time, I’m writing this for those members who have tried to help him, and continue to help others, thankyou to all of you for what I have learnt so far just from browsing through your threads and studying your works. I look forward to all that I will learn from you in the future.
I will be continuing to check this thread to see how the madness progresses though…lol

Ive bin doing more work geting into the entire zbrush thing and even doing over again and relooking,reevaluating.I was looking for how to make it more exclusive.
More and more i ask myself is it realy ready for display for that the image must
transend between fiction and reality,what i mean by this it could be a character
with real human atributes.mind you i mostly use z if i were to use max to ad to
the topology it would be like cheating.Thats partialy how i felt at first now that
i understand it more its not that way we have our own preferences.when useing
something else work on those parts we atack more to stand out.
