Defo improved a bit mate, nice to see you made some use of my base mesh.
I would tone down his thighs a bit, looks like he has tumour. Even just take a smooth brush to them, should do the trick
snakecharmer giving a starving man a fish seems to defeat the purpose of everyone here trying to help teach him how to fish. the way he presented that last piece came off as it was his, he didnt credit you at all and I actually thought it might have been his until I saw you’re last comment.
and after reading all 7 pages of this. shockwave, I honestly believe you are trying to get better, I really do because I’ve met people like you before. But you really do have to go to the basics. Uninstall zbrush, it’s jsut tempting you to rush your work. You say you really want to hammer your skills in zbrush but what you dont understand is your zbrush work depends heavily on the model you are working on
if that doesnt make sense, here’s how they add up
bad model + bad zbrush = bad art
bad model + good zbrush (or vise versa) = not as bad art
good model + good zbrush = good art
I feel guilty for having to put it like that you have no idea, but nothing anyone has said sunk in. so im handling this as I would any other 3D problem I encounter, I learn from the past mistakes on what doesnt work, and then I don’t do it that way.
please prove to us that you are listening by posting something that was NOT done in zbrush.

i understand and agree with what your saying, but i thought if he had a proportionatly correct base, he might of learned a thing or two at least about the sculpting side of things. After all the way i try to improve is by studying other peoples work.
At the same time i was curious to see what would become of that mesh, if you know what i mean.
@shockblade - its generally standard procedure in any form of art when you use someone elses work in any way not to pass it of as your own. What did you actually use 3ds Max to do? cause it certainly wasnt the man model.

This one is another work in progress,i wanted to do something more different this time so i started with the concept of a person in a cyborg like sute.Something kinda scifi and looks different from my other works here.

I watch this thread from the first day and I really hoped you would go through some sort of development doing the things people keep telling you…but no. this is just as bad as the first thing you posted, you still haven’t even got over the hands hurdle. you really aren’t anywhere near being ready to use zbrush yet, you act like someone who has the ability and motivation to be good but really you’re like a first grader who just “F***ing loves coloring”. Which is fine, if you just want to make scribbles, but stop taking yourself seriously if you even are.
Im not gonna bother pointing out your mistakes, just re-read your own thread if you ever want critiques, its the same problems every time, so just keep scribbling if you enjoy it but stop asking for help if you’re not gonna listen

There’s a problem with “everyone has their own idea of perfection” as you stated it This does not comply to a tangent argument. Proportions on human anatomy is not flexible. My idea of perfect anatomy is the exact same as Leonardo Da Vinci’s idea, and that is what you are failing to realize.

You say you can make it look better but you never do, I’ve looked up all the previous threads you’ve made and every single one of them looks exactly like this, stop telling people “thanks i fix is motivation” and actually stop, look at what you’re doing wrong, and don’t do it that way ever again.

this applies perfectly to what you’re doing with 3D. everything you make, you expect different-better comments. you are insane.

PS: i just want to add- What has happened with this thread has happened many times, but it usually goes something like this:
people post bad work, they they are humbled by the pros critiques, then they step back and think very hard and practice new techniques, pushing forward in order to regain some sort of dignity. The bottom line is that everyone that posts quality work has gone through years of harsh practice driven by self motivation, thus giving us all the right to give critiques to others in this amazing 3d community of learning.
