This is a model I am currently working on for an upcoming episode of my web series “Entomology Animated”. This is the famous Bombadier Beetle with lethal exploding fart weaponry. Modeled and textured in ZBrush, rendered in…Octane!!! I like Octane a lot.

Awesome work! Very interesting video on the fire ant. :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

This is an awesome thread! Love the fireant with the x-ray body.

Some awesome work there, lads. The Gnomon Workshop snake (or the others):
Do the tutorials (intro to maya 2016) cover the whole process, from scratch to awesome?
Thanks in advance for the answer.

Woo! OK so I’ve been very absent from ZBC. Will try and be better about posting. Here is some new stuff I’m working on. ZBrush + Octane for Maya:

Yup, there are wasps that make honey, one species anyways. So stop your wasp-hating! Here’s a model I made of one for a tutorial I did in 3D Artist magazine.

Awesome work.

Awesome work, really.
I got your Hyperreal Insect course for 4r4 at Gnomon’s. A bit dated but everything is still valid. I learned a lot, but most on your method of creating the wings.
Seeing your work makes me want to watch it again.

Hope to see you posting more here, and wouldn’t mind seeing you do a tutorial on 4r8’s new features in your kind of work. In my opinion, too much emphasis is put on the mech side.

Nice work!

…monsters! :sunglasses:

Impressive ZBrush Mastery.
Love all your ZB books…
