Come on people! Please let me know what you think of it…

I don’t know that much about animation, but the characters may be a little “stubby” in the legs to move very well.

But really nice modeling!

Thank you very much! You are absolutely right though  His legs are a little stubby for movement, however, he won’t be moving all that much. My animation is going to be about two old guys playing ping pong :stuck_out_tongue: So most of the action will come from the upper half of both characters

These models have a particular charm to them that I really like, the design is really suited for the kind of animation you want to do.

I would like to see the other guy textured up, as the textured model looks really engaging.

Good stuff

Thank you very much! I’ll post some pics of the poly-painted model this weekend  I plan on doing a lot more work on it.

Darn you and your amazing ability to sculpt people faces awesome

I really love how yours is coming out though, can’t wait to see it in class

lol thank you  It was a lot of hard work (and so little time). I hope yours is going well as well! Did you finish it yet? I just finished posing the model. Here are some snapshots:

Here is a turntable of the regular pose:

I will also be uploading a turnaround of the posed model shortly

Mine’s ok, but I’m having problems with modeling the face, how do you do the eyes?

I love the pose =D

Thanks! The area around the eyes or the actual eyeballs?

Both, I actually pretty much finished mine aside from the face and posing it. I gotta throw some sort of cloth on it now but I’ll be posting it. I messed with the face over and hour and just kept restarting because it looked wrong

Let me know when you post your images so I can have a look  Might be better for me to look at it in order to give proper feedback.

For the actual eyeballs I just appended the 3D spheres. I carved holes into where the pupils would be. For the detail around the eyes, I just carved the wrinkles with the standard brush, and then used the inflate brush to exaggerate the detail.

PM me the link to your forum post!

Here’s a shot of Hank and Jed together:

The pose turntable failed in its first upload, so I’m reuploading as we speak.

Hi FoxHound1984! Perseverance is an invaluable virtue when it comes to developing great skills! I think you’re doing a great job man, so: keep goin’ :+1: !

Thank you very much! That means a lot coming from you, I really love your sketchbook!

I’ll be working on these guys for a little longer  And I’ll be updating regularly. Hopefully with the actual animation when the time comes

Here’s a better version of the touched up close up:

I’ve been meaning to commend you on your character designs. Both the 2D and the 3D versions are great. The models are looking really good. Looking forward to seeing the final painted version

Thank you Yelena! Is your model up yet? I can’t wait to see it

How did you get the tips of the hairs to look like that? Nice character btw!
-ShaneO

Thank you very much! The hair in the last 2 pictures was touched up in Photoshop

It will look like that though once I render it with “hair and fur” in 3Ds MAX.
