No, you don’t have to get Quicktime Pro. I don’t have it and my movies export just fine. It sounds like you might have to submit a support ticket.
@nleewy9 What OS are you on. I’m on Vista and that file is in Program Files/Quicktime/QTSystem folder.
Windows 7, and the QTCF.dll file is in the same file path as yours. I just upgraded my desktop to 4r3 and newest quicktime. I’m going to try using that, be a few minutes, gotta register.
Noisemaker still crashing… sad…
Hey! Cool! Glad you got it working.
Hey guys I really tried to search everywhere and couldn’t find anything on this.
When I start Zbrush and use a brush that has a noise in it… there is no noise. Noise 01 - 06. And when I create my own brush with noise and save it out next time I start up there is no noise function on it.
The moment I go to the brush palette and go to surface… the noise is magically working.
Ok so big deal I have to open the brush palette to use the noise… but I have to continue doing it over and over. I will be using the brush with noise and then the noise will just go away between strokes.
It is super lame… any ideas?
I wonder if some kind-hearted 'brusher here has a minute to see if they can open this ZTL?
Seems all my older ones form 3.5 and back cannot load into ZB if they have more than level 1 in SubTools…
*I’ve either got a bad ZB install, or a pile of dud DVD burns
Thanks for helping in advance
***EDIT - smallest zipped ZTL’s too big to upload
CK
What ZTL? Got a link or anything?
@Ceekay
I have some bad news, you may need to take the lowest and highest and save it out as an .OBJ. Then re-project in 4R3, good luck
@Jeremiah - As mentioned in my EDIT: The smallest is too large to upload here unfortunately…
@Troy - Kind of thought that may be the case… Whilst I still have all from 3.5 through current ZB installs on here - ZB4R3 is the only one activated as of now…
Maybe I’ll drop a ticket in for reactivation of ‘old’ versions
Thanks for your suggestion though in the future I’ll have to make a point of saving out lowest & highest level OBJ’s ‘just in case’.
Cheers
Hi…
Yesterday GoZ to Sculptris stopped working and gave this (and other) error(s):
Now today ZBrush has crashed well over a dozen times and produced this error trying to save or open .ZTL files:
And now, after a particularly obnoxious crash I get this:
I have rebooted, done full shutdowns and all that standard crap in the middle of this, the last screenshot is beyond my ability to deal with other than to re-register again (this happened a LOT in the last release, but is new to this one, it was the most stable since 4.0, now its gone insane)
Any help would be wonderful!
Cheers!
Mealea
After another reboot I get this thing with the dots in the title bar, I know this is wrong and is also intermittent:
[EDIT]:
I did the reactivation thing again and its working, or at least not asking to be activated yet…
How many more times can I do this? I seem to remember there being a limit of some sort…
I don’t trust it any more, I’m afraid to use my favorite software because I might break it.
I’m having trouble getting transparencies to work in 4R3, I don’t know if it’s just me or if the function has changed, and not seeing it in the documents with it. If someone’s brought this up already I’m sorry, must have missed it. Thanks in advance for any help.
Using Windows XP Professional, don’t know if the info’s needed, but there ya go.
I have no option available to customize the UI

Look in Preferences / Config for the ‘Enable Customise’ button
In the Render / Render Properties enable ‘Transparency’
For your subtools than have transparency in their Tool / Display Properties enable ‘BPR Transparent Shading’
Hmm, no luck, I’ve been trying that. Also there should be a way to do transparencies in Best Render too.
The red arrow shows the icon clicked on the subtool, maybe I hit the wrong one or skipped a step? Anyway here’s a pic.

That is no longer required. You need to go to the Display Properties sub-pallete and enable BPR Transparency

My mistake, think I overlooked that last part. Here’s an update.
It works! Now I’ll have to play with the settings 'til I get it the way I want, and hopefully I’ll get it working in Best Render too. Thank you so much.
