Practicing on Zbrushing

JesseGraffam:. thanks man I chose the latest guy angry pose and tried to mantain the facial anatomy proportions, but the head transformed into entirely different charachter…
mrskullface:. thanks I am trying to fix that now
Santis:. thanks…I agree with working in one head till finishing it and i am planning to do so with the latest one

Here is the latest edits in the head the "mouth pupil alignment " did nt work coz if i did align the mouth with the pupil it would really get wiiiide also the “one unit of the eye width” did nt work coz it would have left me with really wide face, apparently I must edit the eye’s width :stuck_out_tongue: anyway here is what I got after some tweaking and if anything wrong sticks out please point it out to me thanks for your attention

Fixed the eye I hope tht this one counts as humanly proportional  if anything is out of proportions point it out I aint gonna move on unless this head is good to go:D

This one looks better now then it did before.
Dont know if its perfect so listen to the other guys instead.
Look at some photos and I think you can deside your self.

Santis:. thanks man, I ll try searching for a book of human anatomy and get the proportions thing done:P

Spent an hour on this alien it was a quickie head head  I still wanna know if I got the proportions of the last guy right or not  thanks for the attention everyone. And while I was searching for more refrences online for human face proprotions I found something called"Fibonacci faces" has to do with some ratio 1.618…etc and I wanted to know how useful is this thing and how can I apply it on 3d heads thanks alot guys for the attention and time.

I just learned how to append subtools to the head and here is what I got so far, I wanted to ask how can I import an object and add it to the head rather than building it in Zbrush???

And lots and lots of thanks to the creator of the grey clay material I downloaded it a while ago and I could nt remember the name but I had to mention it thanks for sharing such great material man/woman:P…

Added some expressions to the latest head… guys I love to know how my learning curve is looking like?? (constant upwards? constant downwards? increasing rate up? decreasing rate up?..etc) thanks alot for your attention…

First poly paint attempt and I have alot of questions about texturing?
1.Is it possible to bake the poly paint job to texture or not?
2. is there a pixel to pixol plugin for Zbrush 3.1 or not?
3. Why after polypainting changing materials does nt have any effect?
4. Why after polypainting mesh details are gone??
I hope you like this WIP and of course dont forget your precious C&C

  1. Yes, Under the texture tab. It’s Col>Txr button. Will convert Poly paint to texture.

  2. Not sure. If your poly painting don’t worry about pixels. If painting on a texture map, increasing the document size helps keep the resolution sharp.

  3. If you have MRGB or M selected when you paint, your also painting the permanet material. Use RGB to avoid this, otherwise select your desired material. Select/highlight the M at the top of the canvas and paint over your entire mesh.

  4. Some materials just don’t show off the meshes details as well as others. Also the texture could be overpowering them.

Hope this helps. Don’t worry friend, one can clearly see your progress. Keep at it, use plenty of reference. And focus on the major forms and proportions at lower subdivision levels. Good luck!

j lizzle:. thanks for the answers man I will work on them and produce another poly paint try soon

here is another head guys need ur comments and suggestions as always…

Moved on to backgrounds

santis:. Thanks man I m glad tht u think so

Hey guys I have a really annoying problem I have modeled a base mesh of a helmet in 3d max and every time i export it to zbrush it goes there super messed up why is so?? here is the file below so if u can check it out and tell me wht am i missing I would be very grateful, thanks for your attention

I solved this one on my own, although I dont think its quite smart either I used XSI as a bridge between 3d max and Zbrush 3.1 but the problem is all the work i did to maintain quads in my base mesh is worthless ,now when I export to xsi all quads turns to tri’s but it works with zbrush but not as good as a quad base mesh:( anyway here is the result I hope you like it and waiting for ur comments as always
