Maybe some day Yeah, just google or find some online clothing stores, they usually have an item in lots of angles. Gather those references, put them in one place and start sculpting. That’s when a second monitor or an ipad come in real handy. That’s all there is really. If you can’t find a piece that you need, try looking for something that is made of that material. That way you can get an idea of how the folds behave and apply that to your model.
I love cloth sculpt! nice job! would be great to see the demon posed

And what brushesh you use ? The normal clay standard, dam standard move route ?
Eithne: It will be, don’t worry. Just need to texture him up first
slocik: Nothing fancy there either. Standard brush for sort of increasing/ decreasing volumes, clay buildup for pretty much all the sculpting I do whether it’s cloth or organics, dam standard to work around the folds to make them more refined, and a custom brush which is just the standard one with a smaller alpha (using this one heavily when making clothes). Or you can just turn on AccuCurve in the brush settings, it will give you almost the same effect.
Anyway, forgot his happy briefcase
unbelievable idea and execution. Great on all fronts! And thanks for telling us a bit about how you did it. Im a big fan of yours
it dosnt seem too happy ;D
absolutely fantastic (idea, sculpting, everything) want to see this finished as soon as possible
Really nice concept !small_orange_diamond

indeed…LOVE the concept, the briefcase is really really awesome
fricking awesome
you should know when to stop with horns, the second row of horns just feel unnatural.
More does not mean better. Just my opinion. But I would go so far to say that in the whole biology no animal has 4 horns.
And furthermore, when you go into game arts, the resolution will not be as high than in zbrush or any other 3D program, so that the player might think “what are these plates on the back of his head?”
The rest is very good! A good link to these days bank-clerks
Haha love the briefcase!! the skin is lacking the polish the rest of the character has, it feels like a slightly too noisy texture placed onto the model.
MaxPeterson: ''But I would go so far to say that in the whole biology no animal has 4 horns’’ , might be worth actually checking that statement, google ‘jacob sheep’ they have 4 horns, as do some breed of goats!
Really like the sculping of the briefcase !!!
Congrats !!!
“Pleased to meet you: hope you guessed my name”
Great concept and fine modelling. Just at a wild guess, I’d say ‘unnatural’ is precisely the look this artist was going for!

Hey guys, thanks for the comments! I’ll be honest - I rushed the project. I’ve started this guy waaaay back in 2009 and just wanted to get him out of my head once and for all. BUT, I will get back him to actually. Wanna polish the texture and then it’s done. This devil just won’t let me go…
Anyway, here’s a little something I dag up a couple of days ago. The model is very near and dear to me, because, first of all, this is one of my favorite characters of all time, and secondly - it’s one of my fist characters that I’ve created. Made this guy back in 2007 but decided to give him a little make over. I’m planning to print this thing, so I might need to tighten some of the elements up. Also, I’m not quite sure about this yet, but I might add something in the background to spice the whole thing up a little bit. Got a couple of ideas:
- Make his rocket ride thing crashed into the ground and standing almost vertically behind him
- Model Evil The Cat and put him under Jim’s foot
- Craziest of them all - model ALL the villains, pile them up and put Jim on top of that mess. I think it’s doable, gonna take hell of a lot of time though and probably a fortune to print it.
What do you think?
Speaking of printing, does anyone know any good places where I could check this stuff? With rates, examples etc etc. I haven’t printed anything before so I’m really knew to this stuff.
Anyways, pics!
and here’s the old version

Yes yes I remember your model … and I’m very happy to know that you come back once again to complete your project
good luck
haha i love jim
you shoudl work on his crotch, his triceps, and his shoulders from teh back, and how triceps connect to his back
Nice!
first of all I loved this model back when you made it the first time. Its so much better now I’m very excited to see the finished product.
I use www.moddler.com for my prints they do very professional work and John the owner is very easy to work with and friendly.
If you’re looking for cheaper solutions www.shapeways.com is usually a good place to look.
if you do the mound of enemies you would need to hollow them out… Like Dynamesh all the enemies together and then create a subtract object
to make them hollow. Otherwise your print would be very expensive at any size that would be worth it to capture the detail.
I think your rocket idea would be the best choice personally.
cant wait to see picks of the print.small_orange_diamond
