Hi there!
When can we expect the plugins for 3.5?
From the Support Centre
NO plugins for version 3.1 or earlier should be installed in 3.5. They are not compatible with the many changes and new features, and could result in instability or undesirable side effects. Some will even prevent ZBrush from launching entirely.
We are currently updating all official plugins for use with version 3.5. A few will not be updated, but this is only because they are no longer needed. (For example, ZMapper.)
We do not have an ETA on any specific plugin. Please don’t ask. Our team is working as quickly as possible and will release each one as it is ready.
Nobody here really knows when except pixologic and they won’t tell you so all you can do is wait.

Not sure what the point is, especially if we are to expect Z-4 soon. When Z-4 comes out then we should wonder when the plug ins will be available. With the new features of Z-4 I’m curious as to what plug ins we will need anyway. Just seems like a useless effort on Pixo’s part to try and make plug ins compatible with 3.5. There’s too many things that should be on their priority list, like a Mac update and continuing to meet their deadline with version 4.
I’d quite like decimation master and subtool master back. I used to use them a lot
Indeed! Subtool Master and Decimation Master are the two things that keep me using the previous version of ZB. Gotta have the functionality that those two plugins provide.
same over here: started to use 3.5 and now I am stuck without subtool master and decimation master…

I’m sure Pixologic are doing what they can… in the mean time I’ve learned how to juggle…
Hi!,
Johannes
Yeps, this is exactly what I mean by juggling, most of my work is done in 3.1, but converted back and forth in OBJ for some new features or brushes in 3.5;)
Yeah I need Zapplink and ImagePlane. It’s really slowing down texturing having to do it w/o them. Lovely additions though in 3.5 - sorry for complaining
I wonder why plugins like Subtool Master aren’t built in to the program. I understand why Zapplink is a plugin because Photoshop is a seperate program but it would seem that some of the plugins that don’t require another program should be part of the program.
Just thinking out loud, not complaining. If it needs to cost more (THIS will go over like a lead balloon) so be it.
Wove,
Rex
Maybe they will release soon Zbrush 4, with these plugins ?
It’s my guess
I think they’ll implement the new texturing tool we’ve seen previewed already into Z4, so ZApplink might become obsolete… But I sure hope Decimation Master is coming - those are the 2 I’m missing very much and yeah I’m juggling between 3.5R2 and 3.1 every day
ZB and Pixo are yet again doing their best to alienate endusers.
Pixo could take a really big look at the great response the maker of 3D Coat gives and learn from it.
I am using ZB less and less and 3D Coat more and more and I recommend it to all. If Pixo want people to stay with them they need to get their enduser act together and real soon.
Tell us your plans and don’t BS us.
Pixo is getting the same foul smell about it as the obama democrats. Just a bunch of self serviing l***s.

krisz77 if you did’nt get what you paid for maybe you should adress it directly to the pixol team… -and you don’t have to wait a 4 year period to change the program
Troll?
Or you could massively overreact, that’s always an option
Forgive him, he"s a young padawan.
He may come off as a troll with his wording that may have benefited from being a bit less aggressive, but on the other end of the spectrum some of you guys come off a bit like fanboys with your strange complacence (which almost makes me wonder if you even use ZBrush at all).
For us who work in ZBrush daily, for hours, this ongoing gap between 3.5 and the update of plugins such as Decimation Master, and Subtool Master (which both became an integral part for many of us and our workflows during 3.1) is quite unacceptable, leaving us to choose between an older version with our workflow intact, or the latest version with a broken workflow but useful features and updates.
Either way we lose out, and yes frankly – even risking to be called a “troll” – is total BS.
