Playing with 3.0(some nude monsters)

Rick, I just wanted to say a couple of things to you as a fan, then I’ll go back to treating you like any other ZBrusher…okay?

1st, every amazing movie memory I have seems to have your hand in it. I am honored to know you, even if it’s across the internet. I can’t believe how many times I’ve communicated with you and didn’t know it was you.

2nd, I told my ex-wife about you posting here…she is a bigger horror fan than anyone I know and she asked me to thank you for all the nightmares you have given her over the years. Her name is Sharon. She recently published her first horror novel (I’m so proud of her and I did the cover art, so I’m proud of me too), and some of the scenes were inspired by the horror you brought to her brain.

Lastly, I am using your Popeye picture as my wallpaper de jour. I love that wrinkly old goat!

Anyway, enough of the butt-kissing. Thanks again for sharing. I also loved your interviews on the Z3 videos. Oops, more butt-kissing.

Brian

Hey thanks Slosh,it’s nice to know that the old guy still has some fans.

Tell Sharon that I said congratulations on the publication of her first horror novel.

I wish I would get more horror movies to do I’m not a big slasher movie fan but I love monster movies. Actually just last night I got the OK to start designing a monster or two for a horror movie so I probably won’t be posting much ZB work for a while.
Question, where did you see the Z3 movie that you mentioned? I remember the guy taping me for hours but I haven’t seen anything from it yet.

I see from all of the red wax models in the thumbnail row that Z3 is out .
I’m looking forward to seeing all of the great work that will be generated with it. BTW there are other materials besides red wax.

Hi Rick. The videos are on the Pixologic site. You appear in about 3 or 4 of them, as each tab you visit offers an interview video.

Hiii Rick, great threat without any doubt. Well… now i have my zb3 working and my 1st test is a little tribute for you (just a quickly doodle), thanks for the help in the pans image, friend.

Thanks Slosh for letting me know about them. I watched two. You do get to see a bit of my studio which is cool for those who are interested .You also see the very corner of the Beksinski painting that I own ,behind the chair that I am sitting in. You also get to see how old and inarticulate I am. I had to stop watching because it was depressing me, though I did think the video was well done

Lmao, your still on top of your game “old man”.
most wish they had half the creativity you still have. I have an odd feeling you are going to be around for a while yet… Thank goodness
Tomas

monstermaker, I wanted to send you a PM about the Navy uniform Popeye is wearing, but you have no more room for messages. Mainly I wanted to ask if you modeled that and the hat (hmm, rhymes), or if you did not. I have a Navy uniform on Renderosity and this really looks like it (except yours is very well aged). Anyway, if it is then I am thrilled. If not, I can live with the disappointment.

Slosh,I Modeled the cage in Modo and textured it In ZB

Oh well, Rick. I was so excited yesterday when I thought I recognized one of my models being used by you. But I shoulda known you would make your own. Since a Navy uniform is a Navy uniform, it’s not hard to mistake one for another.

Rick …do you get to dream of angels at night ?

vedanta ,Last night I had a dream with angels and puppy dogs and pretty pretty ponies, I have never been so scared in my entire life. Oh I forgot to mention the flowers and butterflies. I’m still shaking.

Uh-oh, that really sounds like the end is near MM. I mean, next you’ll be singing kiddie rhymn’s like ‘Sugar & Spice’… oh, drat, another one taken by the dreaded disease…

That’s really freakie…especially the butterflies…
we have the dreaded “el colmillo afrontó la mariposa”
which loosely translates as the" fang faced butterfly" which can reek
havok …I wish I could find my picture of it… maybe someone has a pic or two of it…

Go watch some Happy Tree Friends. That will cure your ills Rick. If you’re not familiar with it don’t let the cute title fool you.

I feel your pain! Life’s good and then there are these horrible images! Worse, are the population that insists on indoctronating there children with “Barney”

Popeye = Awsomes ***** 5 stars:D

Rick your not old. Stuart Freeborn was 64-65 when he made Yoda. And he’s still here at 92 years of age.

Your lifes greatest work is still ahead of you.

I also am a fan of your filmwork. It was your Karloff sculpt that made me believe in Zbrush.

Rick you rock!!!

rick,

do you use any kind of external 3d app or is it all in zbrush ?

-W

Rick - I want you to know that I am NOT writing it just to make you feel better  I really am big fan of your work! All my life I was dreaming to work for such people like you or Tom Savini. The dream still is unrealized (Tom dont even let me do website for him hahaha  - must be he dont like “man from nowhere” that I am…)
Many thanks for all monsters that You had made thru all that years! And hey! Dont just sit there and cry that Youre getting older - give us some more! I have enough of horrors like “Do you know, that I still and always know what You did last, last, last summer” :-1: I want to see some great and misterious beasts, monsters! Old School!
Nice to hear about Beksinski painting. I am Polish, however now living in Mexico. Beksinski was a great, great artist - so bad that he was murdered…
I will keep my fingers crossed for Your new works! Thanks a LOT again for all you did for such horror freaks as me  Keep up a good work and if You want spend some time in hot Mexico - just drop me a message hehe - Mi casa es su casa! :sunglasses:
