**** Pixologic Release: UV Master (WIN & MAC)

finally I can see the light … UV mapping it use to be painful
Thanks a lot !!!

Not as good as UVLayout. I still think that is king, but… for a free UV plugin for ZBrush, UVMaster is awesome. I did wonder how long it would be before some UV capabilities (for the human eye) were implemented.

Thank you Pixologic!.. and kudos for getting it out for the mac too

Great shot, another step closer to ZB4…

“simply the best, better than all the rest” the song I am singing to Pixologic… not that I can sing…

Ziggy

I am dead, Now i will always Uv my all object in Zbrush… :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

Superb Updateeeee

How do you solve hands and fingers Uv’ing??

from digitaltoon1 : I did all of the above several times in fact. I am using Win XP on a 64 bit system. Still have not gotten this working although I did enjoy the screen captures showing what I should do even though I did that already.

I’m on XP 64 and have had no problems whatsoever.

you can simply draw on the side of the hand/finger you want your seams,
works fine for me:)

Awesome  wooooooooooooooooohooooooo no more time wasted doing uvs

Great work Pixologic

One thing i find a little odd is that its not integrated into the current UV tools…not a big deal though!
I think another improvement would be if they allowed you to create seams in the normal manner as an alternative to painting.

Zbrush Wins !!!
FLAWLESS VICTORY

Here are some thoughts:

  • Are you using 3.5R3? The best way to know for certain is to look at the title bar in ZBrush.
  • Have you tried downloading it again?
  • Have you tried using something else to unzip it, instead of whatever you have been using?
  • Have you installed any plugins that were released by people other than Pixologic?
  • As a final strategy, have you tried deactivating ZBrush, uninstalling it, deleting its folder and then installing everything fresh?
The bottom line is that UV Master has been extensively tested on all kinds of systems. In fact, I have personally run it on both Win 7 64-bit and Vista 64-bit. Many, many other people are using it successfully on the same OS that you are. So the fact that you’re continuing to have this issue can only mean user error, or something unique about your installation of ZBrush or your computer. The items above should resolve anything other than user error.

Great plug-in! now we just need one engine render with support for v-ray !:+1:

Thankyou guys at Pixologic for your hard work, very, very good results im getting. Whats realy cool is I can rotate, scale and move islands of Uvs just how I want, and even smooth a few areas down here and there.

Ohh, works fine here on Windows 7 64x, installed and worked first time.

:+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

This is truly an exceptional achievement. Thank you very much for releasing this plugin.

i was hoping for something like this. Your algorithm is very very good for “just” a one click solution.

great plugin :+1: thank you very much. it will help a lot.

Well I do…

Well I did all that as was suggested and amazing as it might seem I have used a computer before as well as made toast. I have installed countless plug-ins for countless programs and I followed the instructions like the good boy that I am , I use ZBrush3.5 R3 and it does not work for me…I closed, opened, rebooted, had a beer, cursed, smoked a cig and nada…

I WILL LIKE TO KNOW IF I CAN SEND THE UV FROM UV MASTER TO C4D OR LIGHTWAVE 3D? AND HOW COULD BE THE EASIEST WAY?

dont know how to use it though, :(((( any tuts? ive never uv’d b4…

duh…

Ya no kidding and I own a license of UV Layout Pro.
ZBrush has simply provided it’s users with yet another useful tool. Oh by the way it is only V1. Who knows where it might go from here?
Stupid comments by narrow minded people is what I chalk that kind of thing up to.
