Pixologic Announcement - The Roadmap to ZBrush 2.5

I believe the initial release date was set for dec 20th 2005

ahh they released a release date for 2.5 back in like sept for a dec release. so its been something like 6 months. but the function that I want out of 2.5 has been revealed for over a year and half. the wait is horrid. they could of atleast released another plugin to hold us over. hopefully they never reveal 3

Anyone try e-mailing them for any news, on the development status or next release date?

The current CGTalk Challege, which ends at the end of May, has “Zbrush 2.5” listed a prize to some of winners…

Perhaps they know something we don’t?

Yeah they know they will release it this year. The challenge date means nothing.

perhaps, but it also could be something a long the same lines like when ATI was “giving away copies of hl2” with the 9800 pro when in actuality hl2 wasn’t released for a year later and what you really got a was a piece of paper saying that when hl2 was out, you got a free copy of it

i was wondering if the people at pixologic could throw in colision objects when ever you want render you can easily lay the plane underneath the model and prevent them from passing through each other that way it would be easier to set up render scenes and even have the plane interact with zspheres or vice versa say you want your posable zsphere model grab somthing like a ball make it easier for the objects to interact with each other it would make it a lot easier for people like us that use zbrush it would be great for object interaction and zsphere interactyion i am just asking if you can try to throw in somthing like this pllease it would be greatly appreciated pixolater!!

heres another idea implicate a mode into this woderful software where objects can not pass through each like planes and organic objects and another good idea would be to ilpment a subdivision brush like for instance everytime you would paint on that one particular area you could increase the polygon count just where you painted also vice versa a decimation brush that would reduce the polygon count that way it would make it easier to add in details where needed with out increasing the whole mesh count over all it would really help with the lay out of the model. please tell me what you think of this idea!

How about adding cloth as well as a collision object using Zspheres attractors as directional gravity definers.

Nah, i say flawless hair systems based on mini zspheres special objects with matrix grid control, and THEN its done.
