Pixologic should have a pool. Pick the right day of the release, and you win a free upgrade from 2.0 to 2.5.

the bad thing about all is… the 2.5 version will come out and a lot of us are still in practise with the 2.0 version. but however; I want it NOW!!! thumbs up to all of the people behind zbrush. you did amazing work!

Microsoft will buy Pixologic, the 14 february 2006, and after that no further devlopment of my favorite appz, its a nightmare I have made last night !!! Oh gosh, I need to be patient for sure… but I really like this fabulous appz… sometimes I think that, I cannot live without Zbrush, but don’t say that to my wife, she’s already jealous !!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

I don’t think it would be Macrosnot though. I envisioned someone like Autodesk/Alias to come out with Z-Brush as an add-on for 3D Studio Maya. I haven’t seen anything, in the 3D world, come from Macrosnot. Have they put anything out???
I hope to see Z-Brush as a stand-alone proggy, by the same company, with the same developers behind it. If not, it will turn to crap and be lost forever.
i actually think zbrush will eventually overpower 3ds and maya. it already has painting right onto 3d models. it has a normal, displacement, bump, and cavity map generator. its going to have mesh rigging which will eventually become animation, which leads to the development of scenes, which enables you to place lights and cameras, and it will eventually be better than any of the other programs.
Actually Microsob has done just one good thing for 3D : if I remember well it bought SoftimageXSI for a period of time, gave it a fix for the Winz platform, chewed and spitted it out again (sold it again).

The new Zbrush will be released monday 16, january 3006 for PC and Mac, and also make an announcement of a new animation software, Zclap !!! what a wonderful dream. I love this software, so much… :lol:
Well PLEASE don’t release it on the week of March 27th - that’ll be my Honeymoon!
(LAWD please don’t have me carrying my laptop (“hott-n-heavy”) wid me on my Honeymoon!!)
Also what happened to the ZMapper link? it took me to an error page saying I didn’t have privs - I’m assuming it means the thread was pulled?
I’m also assuming it was released briefly (which I missed) and then yanked for further development?? I’d at least like what was already released!??
