Great, can’t wait for the mac-version, take your time to make it work well!
well that sure shut everyone up right quick didnt it? much love to all the zguys
Yeah. Reading the pages and pages of zmapper docs. Excellent documentation by the way!
Nice thread…
Thanks for the updates and the extra hard work that you guys are doing and NOT charging us for it…
Totally outstanding Customer service in my book.
Didnt pixologic announced zbrush 2.5 for december this year?
That was their best guess at the time. Think of it as a pledge to work really hard towards that goal.
Understand that this is uncharted territory – nobody knows what problems will come up during development, and nobody knows how long they’ll take to solve until they’re solved.
People don’t know the future. It’s all just speculation. The only announcement which matters is the one which says it’s finally ready. So, keep checking back here – it’ll be hard to miss!
We are continuing with the development of version 2.5 (as well as the Mac version of ZMapper). ZBrush 2.5 is going to have some surprise features that we think you’ll like, as well. An announcement regarding the time frame of its release will be made here in this thread as soon as we can provide that info.
If they choose to delay it until next year is no worry, atleast in my book since i consider 2.0 and the recently released plugins for it to be a great tool in the 3d digital sculpting workshop
Anyways… keep up the great work Pixologic, you rock!

Yep, the date is not important.
But expectation is greater than ever, the desire to explore Z2.5 seems to characterise life itself now. Every latent moment is distracted and every day is colorized with the sickly pallid temperance of disappointment.
If a holiday period release can be discounted, I think that it would be humane to lead the meek toward some expectation of that fact.
Thanks for the info Aurick - I’ve recently seen what happens when a company bows to pressure and releases software that is not ready. It is not pretty
Take your time and release it when it is ready. Thank you for the recent plug-ins
We are continuing with the development of version 2.5 (as well as the Mac version of ZMapper).
OR
We are continuing with the development of the Mac version of ZMapper (as well as the development of version 2.5).
Any comment??
We see that all the time with Windows!:D:lol:
I’m sure it’s well worth the wait!!!

Interesting question.
I can only speculate, but suspect it’s actually…
We are continuing with the development of version 2.5 (for concurrent release on Mac and PC). A small subset of our team has been diverted to continue work on the Mac version of ZMapper, but this will have the full team’s attention as soon as 2.5 is released.
I mean, release schedule aside, 2.5 is bound to be a higher priority than any of the plugins.
This is, of course, only a guess.
In the meantime, since ZMapper is more of a mechanical tool than a creative one, maybe some PC users can volunteer their time to export a few models? I’m sure the opportunity to play with your high-detail ZTools would be incentive enough for a lot of people…
pretty sure I read an Aurick reply somewhere that zmapper for mac will come first and that they are busting butt to get it done.
Does not seem it will be release this year. But the good news is there is not that many days left this year.
Well it is a New Year and I am still waiting. Any new information on the release.
I just wish they all had a nice Christmas time at Pixologic!
I was thinking it was going to be out today for some reason. would be cool. sooner the better, but id rather have a working version of 2.5 rather then some bug infested Z. maybe by easter?
My guess is at Spring…
I was thinking Jan 5 but now I will retreat to March.
