never mind, frenchy. i just mentioned it, so others with slow connections know… yes, indeed, it does take quite some time to view all images in zbc. but i am a very patient person …

Frenchy, I did not see a mountain or a mammal. What I saw was a man/woman with a varied colored coat that was ready to be thrown out, and the man was struggling in the snow to go somewhere, but his/her strength is almost gone.
Interesting the things we see.
Very nice Frenchy
Many Blessings
Hi Kitty

hi frenchy, thank you for that link, i just found it, have not been here around for a while
i painted following a tutorial by Michael (stonecutter) which can be found here. (the other parts are in community forum as well
)

i had a reference image (by m.yazijan) from a book, but i changed typus and expression to my liking
all is done in zbrush, except recoloring and cropping to good canvas size in step 2 for which i used photoshop (but i could have done this in zbrush too, only i did not, since i am used to do these kind of things with photoshop).
i painted in double size to get better control on details, and have used zbrush-tools : colorizer (skin and lips in step 3), paintbrush with very small draw size and freehand stroke, smudge tool with fairly big draw size and dots stroke.
note that i used dark orange for shadows, but dark red on nose and cheeks and dark blue on chin and jaw to make more natural.

Beautiful work Doris!

So alive, and that is the main part of portraiture in my opinion…
(He really makes me think of Emperor Gaius Caligula…A wonderful and sinister expression…
)
