It turns out that anything I have done with UV’s I can do with masking or polypaint as well, they are ALL equally useful and fun to use.
You can use mesh created in ANYTHING and get amazing and surprising results. All you need is polygroups and even those are not totally necessary, its amazing…
I’m loving what you are doing!!!
Thank you!!!
I love what you are doing and I am STILL working on that splice and some knots!
GRIN!!!
PolyFrames! YAY!!!

Cooler and cooler. I enjoy your thread very much. Can you explain how you made the figure/shapes in “screwing around with quads” please?
Someone has asked me about doing something for a game and I realized suddenly how ignorant I am!
But I can make complicated circle things and have fun doing it…

Oh my,
This is wonderful. This randomness is killing me.
Perhaps the only other truth in the universe, besides human logic. And mealea’s logic:lol:
And pixologic, of course.
Excellent.
one of your best
A wonderful pixologic Dream Catcher… deke
Hi Mealea, Long time no talk! I will be putting up some new work soon. I really love this piece!
Cheers, David
GRIN!
I love your description of it!
Thank you!
Thankyou!
I love your beasty in your thread, its REALLY GOOD!
Wow thanks!
Out of curiosity is it the color difference?
Thanks Blue!
That is a great way to look at it! Its also in theory the precursor to something soeone might use in a game but that remains to be seen, each time I remake it I end up with more polygons…
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!?!?!?!
I sent people all over Africa looking for you and they have been causing no end of trouble! Some of them just left some place called Goma after discovering you were not there!
You know we missed you right?
How was your trip, and how are you more importantly?
I cant wait to see what you have been doing, did you bring ZBrush with you when you went? If not I think you are going to flip over the new features and a thing that Marcus and Francisco made, its AWESOME.
More soon, my computer is having a mental breakdown I have so much stuff running…
I’m thrilled you’re back!
yes colours are really interesting but what i love in this case are the shapes beautiful and intricated as i like them would be great another one with no colours
maybe some metal or rock material , something “materic”
Hi Mealea,
I was in a very bad state when I came back from our mission to Tanzania, acute depression for five months and four weeks in the hospital. I am fine now and enjoying the new Zbrush, no I didn’t take it to Africa … I had my camera equipment and an IPad. Anxious to hear about the new stuff you mentioned. I will try and post some new work soon! Regards to everyone.
David I’m very glad you are doing better.
We missed you here a lot.
Now, about the new things, I’m sure you have delved into all the new 4R4 specific stuff but you might have missed Marcus and Francesco Mai’s insanely cool plug in, it converts 2.5D stuff into 3D extrusions, its great and you can find it here:
http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?172391-Default-Useful-small-ZScripts-and-Macros-for-ZBrush-4R4
And Francesco’s announcement of it:
http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?172390-Pixols-and-pixels-now-are-the-same
Its more then a little bit amazing.
Thanks Mealea for the tip and thanks Marcus and Francisco for the plugin! It looks amazing and right up my alley.
Hi Mealea,
I just tried the new plugin and it said I needed a newer version of Zbrush … 4.42 ?
Cheers,
david
