Now Im having fun

YAY Mealea.:D…Hey…just stopping by to say…Excellent experimenting, and pushing back of the would be establishment boundaries…:+1:small_orange_diamond:)

Combine/overlay that flat soft color of the optical art orange and blue envelpoe piece that I enjoyed a couple of pages back in here post #890,…with the neon luster and vibrancy in the colors of that bottom orange and blue piece in post #916 above…crop the overlayed image to fill the whole canvas, and then frame it…Might produce an interesting OP Art design that captures the best of both pieces …Just a passing thought…

Keep up the great work Mealea :+1:…And thanks for what you did with my works in that panoramic world of yours…It was really fun seeing that…Thank You Mealea…:):+1:

Glenn

Thanks!
Which part though? the whole post?
hehehe!
I like the orange one personally…

It took me a bit to realize what this meant!. You have developed this habit of making me very happy.

Thanks!
And yes, Lighting is very odd, I have no control over it at all except in 2.5D and even in 2.5D its still confusing., its like the little ball has no bearing on anything at all…

I think you would get a serious kick out of that world Glenn, what you saw is just a tiny fragment on mine, I’m going to set up a tutorial for you on how to get a better idea of what it is, I think its something you will like.

I’m not sure I still have the objects from those images, while I save a lot of stuff I don’t know what to name things so its almost impossible to find specific stuff. ZBrush needs a fast file previewer, or better yet icons that look like the thing you saved, that would be a wonderful thing.
But maybe this is sort of what you had in mind:

Cool Mealea! :+1:small_orange_diamond:sunglasses:small_orange_diamond:+1:

ps: How’s the upgrade working? E=mc2?

Hi … I was just wondering if I’ve done anything to put you off …
I say that because you haven’t dropped by my little corner of the ZB universe in a long time …
If there is anything at all I humbly apologize as I value your input immensely and really appreciate your artwork.

Blueferret aka Deke…

thanks for this new wonder:+1:
where is the video?,…

Another good one. :+1:
May I join the club?
I just tried all these methods. Some loops tricks on low poly base, UVs and applied some kind of displacement map. (one of the default low res, just testing the method). Similarly, this map can be used under noise maker. Similarly, you can mask by density, etc etc.donut.jpg

Are you kidding?
NO SILLY!!!
You could never put me off, and I am sorry I haven’t been over to your thread, I’m trying to do a million things at once and catch up with the mail glitch. remember that? I got a LOT of mail all at once, I still have like sixty or so things to read and look at and meanwhile more is arriving, I got what I wished for and then some!
I HAVE been in your thread, just quietly thinking “how did he DO THAT!!!” or as people in these forums say, lurking…
Gimme a bit to finish my coffee and I will pop over, if I’m not there soon its cause I has some obligations on land (perish the thought) and have to leave for a bit.
Blue, don’t ever worry about something like that ok?
Seriously.

Thanks ZBer! its GREAT!, I can have a LOT going on at once now, its more like having another computer then adding something to one. The only problem I have had is that I sometimes cannot switch out of ZBrush to other programs while its doing stuff, but that happened before too, so its not a memory issue I don’t think.

hehehe! Thanks PFC!!
The video is coming actually, I just went WAY over my monthly quota for internet usage and will be paying for tthat little transgression for a bit… so maybe after the 23rd… blarg…
These pictures you have been posting in here are great by the way, I love them very much!

GRIN!!!
That’s awesome!
Mask by color, intensity, smoothness, and PeaksAndValleys are good, you can also use Group Masked one each of them and then do stuff like crank up Disp under Edgeloop… It goes on and on and on!

Thanks mealea.
But, but,…
this one, using the same (not of good quality) zb pattern on a torus in blender.
This took 1 min to construct it. All the job using UV editor, that’s all. It’s basically displacement under cycles render engine.Screen shot 2012-11-19 at 4.09.38 PM.jpg

welcome to the club Michalis

This can be easily obtained within zbrush using the mask by intensity too … on a textured object and inflating or extruding what is unmasked
Same amount of time … try to see , but probably u already knows this method

Have a good work guys it’s always a pleasuremask-by-intensity.jpg

i forget to say that i’ve used for this fast test the same zb pattern just to make a comparison (even if with some variations)

@LVXIFER
welcome to the club indeed. LOL
Mask by density, yeah, I mentioned this too.
The basic trick comes from an advanced UV editor though. The donut is an easy task, let’s keep it in mind.
A good UV editor can handle aligned geometry. Important for geometrical patterns.

You guys are amazing, both of those are great and I know the pattern, its texture 13 right?
If you want a whole pile of wonderful stuff to use as alphas and don’t have time to make them your self take a look at this:
http://www.fractal-recursions.com/files/mech0001.html
Its awesome.
I have tried a few of them for the heck of it and its amazing especially when you combine them with PixolsTo3D over and over.

To me though, the ultimate source of Alphas is the SimpleBrush and stuff I make in ZBrush or that is already in it like Texture 13.
Francisco Mai is doing SOMETHING in 2.5D that I cant yet figure out but when I do I will be able to make semi molten machinery drip and oooz like he does. Then I will figure out how to make it move.

I have Unity now and need to learn how to not only put things in it but make them DO STUFF… and have all their polypaint and materials from ZBrush… and rigging and and and… I’m screwed…
I HAVE to learn this stuff, its taken over my life so I’m bloody well going to get good at it, and then I will take an anatomy class.

On top of of all that I want to make a museum in the thing I have been talking to Glenn about and then we can all run around looking at cool stuff and bitch about our frame rate (mine is terrible).

Remember that Descartes guy?
What was it he said?
“I think therefore I drink…”
No that’s not it its:
“Non-Cogito ergo dumb.”

I need some coffee and a drink in that order give or take.

Unity is going to be interesting. Can we embed Unity stuff in ZBC?

This got busy fast.

Minge.jpg

I realized something about ZBC just now, the main reason I make icons is to make ZBC stop asking me if I want to make an icon.
That’s something huh?

Sorry about my little tirade ,I was just feeling a little sorry for myself ( Bad ferret ,stop biting my ankles ) as I sit here in Oregon with 80 mph winds and sheeting rain
by myself while everyone else is sleeping as usual…Speaking of Glenn, he and I write each other a lot on this forum and have exchanged pictures of our great loves,
(our dogs) that is…
I am happy that you are back from the ethos sphere and Mail_Hell and look forward to all the new stuff you come up with on a regular basis…Your friend / fan… Deke

Ps: This last piece is awesome indeed…

Whenever I am in the mood for experimentation I like to lurk this thread among a few others for inspiration and off I go. Sometimes I even come out from behind the curtain  Its always fun to see the sheer audacious creative energy of your experiments :+1:

Blue, you are more than welcome to vent when you need to, your my friend.
And you don’t need to apologize, 80 mph wind is not good and being alone in it sucks.
Besides, everyone is allowed to feel like crap sometimes, even people in Oregon. GRIN!
I have something that will cheer you up at times like this when the whole rest of the US is asleep, gimme a bit though, I’m WAY over my quota.

Thank you!
I just spent a bit rummaging about in your user gallery, VERY COOL!
Its great to see you in here too!

Here’s another thing:

And another one:

GlanduarProblem2.jpg

Very interesting pieces, a unique and very personal style.
Not a zbrushy predictable result, that’s great!!

Here’s another test, basically a UV based game.
I just constructed a plate (maybe a 2.5d work could be great), adopted displacement and bump map. A small one 1024x1024 px.
I also constructed a donut like thing, very low poly, worked on it (box modeling, AUV maps, grouping, some extrudes, you know, yes I followed this tread LOL). I exported it to blender and played some more on the UV editer there.
It counts ~1000 poly +displacement and normal maps.
Cycles renders. Untitled of course :lol:aSDIsplDonut.jpgDonut33.jpg

This is an awesome thread, I just went through the whole thread in two days because it was so freakin addictive. keep on exploring and posting MealeaYing ! endless inspirations :sunglasses:
