Now Im having fun

Mealea…HEY…

Those last few pieces on the previous page in here are outstanding…The ones with the female faces…Really beautiful works…Great design and use of space…:+1:…It’s a real pleasure seeing the amazing progress that you’ve shown in this thread…Keep on Truckin…:+1:small_orange_diamond:)

Glenn

Thanks Glenn!!!
You actually taught me a lot about how to do those, I took the old paintings you
recommended and looked at them for a LONG time and I think I’m starting to
understand why they are exceptional.

GRIN!

Blue, if you are reading along the last couple of posts you will know that ZBC is
not working right and allowing me to post the tutorial Im making for you, so I
will post it else where as an html document.
Give me a bit, I need to come up with hosting of some sort and I think I
know just the place.

Ok…
Blue, try this:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/76310757/Blue/BlueFerret.html

The video is still uploading and I will edit the page when its done and
see if I can embed it, its been a long time and the HTML “standard” is
now so full of bloat its appaling.
ok…
Video is 133mb and is uploaded at:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/76310757/Blue/BlueFerret-2-W-CircleThing.mov

And I’m off to figure out how to embed it.
Let me know if you have any problems with it ok?
Im not sending it to Vmio or YouTube, they mess with videos and compress them so much you cant see the menu’s and stuff, this is the full sized one so it SHOULD be good… I hope…

Cheers!
Mealea

I found a fun little utility that sort of plugs into your web browser and does some fun stuff to pictures, its at:

I was going to post examples but they are all a little over 500k so Im not going to bother.

Wow That is some video…

I surely do appreciate all the work you put into this Tutorial.
I have a much better idea now on how to get started with 2.5d.
Watching the video made me realize how different everyones talent is and I just kept going wow every couple of minutes…
I played the video as you suggested, frame by frame and after a while I started to understand the actions of different brushes and sub tools…
The HTML was a big help also. One of my probs has always been when I import a subtool I seem to loose all the other ones, very frustrating.

To make the video better, maybe audio narration as you work would be my only suggestion. And maybe a larger cursor as its kind of hard to see,
but I’m only telling you this since you asked me to. Personally I am very happy with the tutorial and am deeply appreciative…!!
I owe you big time and thanks again…

I hope other people will download this this video as it is well worth any ones time that wants to learn more about 2.5d and how to in corporate
it into their 3d work…

Deke the Blueferret…

I always love the 2,5D works , but there’s too few of them. Happy to see some new ones:)
And I will look onj the tutorial you posted, because I wan’t to know the 2,5D mode better.
Thanks man! I subscribe for your thred :+1:

Also you mentioned about problem with large pictures. Try this, magic:
http://www.jpegmini.com

Thank you Nebular!
And also thanks for JpegMini, its very cool and does a lot better job then I was able to do with other things.
Im still working on that tutorial, I think its mnore than a bit rough and there is a LOT more to add to it.
The video however is about all I can do at the moment with out making something that costs to much to upload.

Anyhow, thanks again!

Cheers!

I hope you don’t mind but I would like to post this sculpt I made with you in mind, Thanking you for the
tutorial and the wonderful Pics you made for me …Thanks Deke

(ps: If you don’t want it in your thread tell me And I will Immediately take it down)

Wow ! Very cool… Both are such delicate compositions , very nice Mealea Ying

A creative Z week !!!
Wonderful work Mealea :+1:

It was, and thank you Michalis! These new things are very very interesting and fun.

I’m going to try to simplify someone else’s tutorial on how this is done as soon as I know as much about it as I can.
Its a lot of fun.

And another with some “simple” box modeling:

I say “simple” cause of all the ZBrush tutorials that say “and now you simply do X” where X is far from simple and do = try and try and try.

I’m addicted to high detailed works :+1: , i wanna see more from you

Thank you Akze!
I just saw your Tank… its… its… flabbergasting!
You clearly do love detail!

Heres another of the same thing with a different mat cap, one that manages to glow with no filters or anything:

I suspect I have as many polygroups as your tank, but mine were easyer to make I think.

Cheers!

I did the same stuff I did in the last images on the Gear3D tool that comes with ZBrush, I love that thing, you can do so much with it.

Details = Me like it :stuck_out_tongue:

If you never tried the IMM (Insert Multi Mesh) you should try, its like playing with “LEGO” . I’m almost 40 years old and I miss my Lego :laughing:small_orange_diamond:laughing:small_orange_diamond:laughing:

I like details too, and Legos… in fact I love Legos.
I have made a bunch of IMM brushes, some are in the repository, I think IMM brushes are an amazing thing.
Since you mentioned detail I think that 2.5D is one of the most amazing things in ZBrush, this is something using the last two objects in 2.5D:
