Sent an e-mail to the veoh tech support:
I uploaded this video
http://www.veoh.com/videos/v850664CHYZG7J7?c=nickz
And my users are reporting that when they try to load the page that there is a virus that is being detected.
“Hi,
just tried to look at your video and caught a trojan virus,
thought you might want to know.”
"I get the same thing: IE blocks because of a detected virus
DONTCLICKhttp://nl.winantivirus.com/download/2007/?ax=1&ex=1&ed=2&aid=bottomof_be_nl&lid=intl&affid=&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]
This thing starts scanning your puter even is you tell it not. I had to Ctrl-Alt-Del force it to stop. Therefore I added DONTCLICK to the adress.
I don’t believe it is a real virusscanner as no serious company would do a thing like that.
I checked and it’s spyware that seems to be very hard to remove.
Bloody hell!"
"Spybot S1D found six cookies and five better hidden data. It went straight through my Sygate firewall and AVG virusscanner, both at maximum security.
I’m not saying nor implying you are responsible Nick, only warning people to stter clear from veoh for now.
I just bought another complete suite (Panda) that with an online scan found another entry.
Just hope I won’t have to do a total reinstall like some people advise to do when this “winantivirus” is found…
ahhh…those bastards! they should be flayed alive, a square inch a day! may the rot and burn in hell!
update: panda found another 57 entries of this malware."
Could someone please help?
Thank you,
Nick Zuccarello.
Hope they figure this out!
