How did you separate the suit? Did you extract it? I watched the video but it went by so fast I couldn’t tell.
Good stuff.

Yes , the typical color difference between the model and the suit means it probably has been made with extracting it as subtool.

Webhead - Not a problem at all!

The Namek - Thank you for the kind words.

rad66203 - You are correct sir. I painted the mask and then I used the extract tool in the subtool section. When I extracted it lost a lot of the detail that I sculpted so I used the “project all” button in the sub tool area on the newly extracted pieces. I then used the inflate tool in the deformation section to raise the surface up a bit. Thanks.

I love all your videos but (and you knew there’d be a but) Spidey’s suit is just a teeny tiny bit wrong. It’s the arms. Other than that, it’s great stuff!

Well “Slap me silly and call me Susan” What was I thinking… sorry I missed that folks. I should have known something wasn’t right.

Thanks for pointing out my silly mistake. Much appreciated!

Here is a fix for the suit.

Sorry about that.

That looks pretty freakin sweeet. I love the anatomy.

AH…now all is right with the world. Excellent work as always.

Great Work Nick!

really nice and clean work, nick.
i’ll diffently take a look at the video, when i get home.

that’s a great looking spidey nickz! one of the best i’ve seen, in fact. great proportions, and i love the very todd mcfarlane-esque eye treatment. you know you have to pose this guy now.

Great video. I hope this isn’t a dumb question, but being a newbie to ZBrush, I was wondering, is it much harder to animate a zbrush model made entirely with zspheres or a low poly base mesh, than one that has been modeled mostly with a poly modeller and only fine detail created in zbrush? I assume morphs or blendshapes would be difficult to achieve with most of the details being normal or displacement maps. I would also assume you wouldn’t want to use the high-poly model as it would slow down rendering or calculating the animation.

  • edit * I’ve heard the new topology tool in Z3 is useful for making better poly flow in finished models for animation in other packages, but since I’m on a mac, i haven’t been able to check that out yet.

Great video, just finished it. Congrats on top row!

Congrats… this is a very helpful tutorial to do a Muscle Man

Thanks, and very good music tougth

Very nice work. I love the upperbody specialy the back. I like the naturality of it. But when I look at the abs, it doesn’t give me that feeling. You should exaggerate the legs some more.

cheers

great work,very cool scuplture.

brettSinclair - Thanks bud! Love your latest creature. Great work like always!

Teyon - Thanks for having a good eye!

piz - Thanks piz!

abyss103 - Thanks, I hope you enjoy the video.

industripop - Thanks for the props. That is funny that you knew that I was looking at some Todd McFarlane Spidey work when I created this guy. I was thinking that I could give this model away and people could pose it with transpose tools. Anyone interested?

Der Frenzo- If you are going to animate your characters in another package, I would suggest that you rebuild your topology to suit your animation needs. ZBrush now has all the tools so you can sculpt something, then if you ever change your model you can always “capture” you old sculpt by using the “projectAll” button in the subTool area. Yes, you are right, blend shapes would be more difficult on your hi res model, at lest corrective blend shapes.

3Dean - Thanks!

EfrenStudios- Thanks, glad you liked everything.

Wim - I totally agree with you! I’m still working on learning my anatomy. I’m learning very quickly that knowing where all the muscles go doesn’t always make for a great looking model. I’m still working on learning how all the rhythms go in the lower part of the body. Thanks for your honesty, it is much appreciated. It will help push me to keep working on this area.

nofounture - Thanks buddy!

wow nickz, thank you so much for sharing all this, its really appreciated.

Hey Nick thanks for taking the time to do that  :+1:

I dont really think the abs look real or maybe to defined. The character does not look like Triple H as a matter of fact the horn demon looks more like triple H than the actual character.
