I can see where Circus Maximus if comming from… Your art is cool, it’s nice to see someone focusing on the whole piece, not just the sculpt. There are so many “copy-cat” pieces around. Z-brush is more than just a :sculpter" seeing a layout and “poster” style is neat. Just becuase so mant people detail the sculpt, oush the sculpt to it’s max, doesn’t mean you can’t do an easy model and then push composition, flow and unity.
Spiritdreamer, It would be nice to see you push some of your sculpts more, a progression of a base mesh. Watch out for teh stick and paste thing. Too many repetitions of a poor modle don’t make for a good composition.
Either way, at least your posting lots and Doing art, it always gets better. Great work keep it up.
Savage Bliss…THANKS MAN… Finished and highly detailed models will come…all in good time, if it’s meant to be that way with me… Right now i’m more interested in composition and am trying out what i’ve created so far in alot of different compositions…It doesn’t do any good, or make much sense to me or for what my goals are at this time in my life to do highly detailed models. They are useless to me, until they are composed properly. If one doesn’t know how to compose them properly, then he or she is wasting alot of energy detailing…
If you study the works of Frazetta or Boris for instance just as a couple of great examples, you will see that it’s not the amount of detail that makes their works so great,…IT’S THE WAY THEY COMPOSE THEIR WORKS.

New Concept WIP. that I just started but have been thinking about for a few years now…
After hearing President OBAMA say he was giving the Nuclear Reator people and the Coal Industry billions of more dollars to further endanger and pollute the planet that we all share,…I decided I should create something that would counter his idea and gesture…
My idea…Put small wind turbines and solar panels on top of every telephone pole out there…milions and millions of them out there…An easy hookup,…just attach a few wires that run through a regulator and alternator which are in the wind turbine and solar panels already, and connect them to the system that is already in place and feed the energy produced by the wind turbine and solar panels into what is already in place…telephone poles and the electric grid that they already feed…So simple it would work, and would also create alot more jobs and save alot more money than the idea that OBAMA just put forth to appease the special interest that are obviously pulling his strings at pesent time.
ART AND ARTIST CAN AND HAVE CHANGED THE WORLD,…INSPITE of all of the LOBBIEST, SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS, INDUSTRIES, CORPORATIONS, ECT. ECT. AND ALL OF THE OTHER IDIOTS OUT THERE…

Back to the original thought I had for starting this sketchbook in the first place,… which was to experiment with combining the Corel Painter #10 program with the Z Brush program.
This mornings practice…A Conte Crayon figure that I created in the Corel Painter #10 program, combined with what I have created in the Z Brush program.

that aside the image titled “ZDOODLEING” is a good concept, should take it further!

About being able to do it all in Z Brush…Z Brush is getting close, but not quite there …YET… When Z Brush gets the colored movable stage type spotlights that the Corel Painter #10 program has, and some soft blender brushs, impasto brushs, and a wide varity of oil brushs,tinting brushs, conte crayons, pastels, ect.ect. ect…, and water color brushs that really feel and act like water colors do…running colors on the canvas ect…THEN Z Brush will be all the way there…for the puposes and needs, that I need to do,… what I like to do … Until Z Brush gets all the way there, I will still continue to experiment and combine the two programs Z Brush and Corel Painter#10 while trying to get the best from both for my sometimes unexpected and always adventurious results… The joy is in the experiment, for me anyway…
ZDOODLEING with my EARTHMAN Super Hero
Fist one is him knocking the OILMAN out of the picture with Wind and Solar Power as his weapon of choise…
Second one is him powering up the planet with that same weapon of choise…
Just having some fun with this concept and these little thumbnails which are capturing inital thoughts on the subject…I wrote more about this EARTHMAN Super Hero concept and his major adversaries, and posted more about them a few pages back in this sketchbook in case anyone may be interested…Just a little pet project of mine, done mostly just to amuse myself and to get the anger towards EARTHMANS adversaries, which are my own adversaries out of my system…
