New Work!

nice, david, the “spiky” one i like a lot, it reminds me of my youth, where i had(!) to knit, and the knitting work sat there and lloked at me, like yours with the spikes it tries to be unfriendly… lol… i hope this is not offending, but lots of your work evoke reminders or emotions in me… it is great work, despite my associations!
Hi Kokoro, Not offending at all … evoking emotions is my goal.
thanks for your visit and kind words!
Cheers, David

New Work!

hi david, like #979, i think it could be even greater on a white (or totally black background) with a black shiny material (maybe rendered in 3Ds max or similar with raytracing material)
…i see it elegant, reminds me something cool for a fetish club ehhe (simply personal tastes) - very good work
Hi Lvxifer, thanks for the kind words. Perhaps I will try some of your suggestions. I have really been trying to get a look more like an illustration and
most of my work is 2.5d any how. In the past i was interested in a photo real look and was using Maya (i was a beta tester for years) and before that Power Animator and Wavefront. I am going to start using Zbrush in conjunction with Cinema 4D.
Cheers, David

Something a little different!

YES i prefer the “illustration” too despite of clean 3D. Have a good work
everyone is different
some better than others
but in all great sensitivity
I find this of great subtlety
thanks
Thanks for your visit and kind words … i am just feeling my way around, experimentation is a good thing!
Cheers, David
Hi PFC, thank you! I am glad you enjoy these works!
all the best, David
Another new work … in a new direction!

The grainy treatment makes it rest in this nether region between illustrative and 3D-render-ish.

Thanks for the kind words, glad you like this look!
Cheers, David
Hi Deke, thanks man. I am working on new exploration and technique!
All the best, David
